i posted (months ago) an article that showed how in netherlands unemployment grows, houses costs go down, tha rate of mortgage not payed are rising..
the main question was: how to deal with those signals?
the gov choosed the austherity politics (no deficit, more taxation,less welfare services)

now arrives the first (symbolical) sign of the fact this private crisis go to involve the financial sector.
So next step is financial and work crisis.

marriage laws are state by state, so each of the 50 states has it own state law.

in most states I do not think one would be charged with pedophilia if an 18 year old hooked up with a 16 year old. I think in most states that the age at which consensual sex can be given is 16.

so if your partner is 16, and says ok to sex, you are ok
if your partner is 16 and says no, then is it not ok and you could be charged with rape
if your partner is 13-15, and says ok to sex, you can be charged with statutory rape
is your partner is 13-15 and says no, you can be charged with rape with sex offender status

also, in some states there is a 3 year differential rule. so if consensual sex age is 15, then you are
OK up to age 18. at 19 it is statutory rape.

I'm in doubt. On the one side, one could argue that if it was not against her will, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if the parents do not agree (given that the parents are juridically responsible for her), should it be allowed? I'm not sure (that happens, you know :p).

I would think it extremely rare for teenage boy to be prosecute for statutory rape UNLESS the parents of the minor can prosecutors.

But it is very strange the text is written with female and not 'person', because both male and female can be victims of statutory rape, rare or not doesn't really matter (and maybe the actual numbers are just wrong, who knows, maybe it just isn't reported as often when it happens to boys).

I think in theorie your right charles, but I think you are gonna get a hard time proving if it's a boy, because girls have weaker physics as boys. So with a girl its either rape(forced by weapon etc) or nothing I think statuory rape isnt very likely the other way around.

that is true. Perhaps this was how the laws read 20-30 years ago, but one would think that they would have been changed by now to "person" not female.
