Asunto: Football Strategy - Brand New Manager Game

2014-05-20 17:03:41
I tried the game... used to don't do that. I think the idea could be good but too much simulation, it has to be a balanced gameplay-difficoult as sokker. too many paramethers should give the game a randon visualization or a non-comprehensible game. I wish you will have good luck but I don't think I come back to this game again :/

The tutorial is also a bit in the way. The tutorial wants me to do a formation and save, however the tutorial information box is over the buttons so i can't do that without having to zoom out on my browser which is quite annoying.

Hello,

If you report it am sure someone would be able to help you out with this issue.
2014-05-20 17:44:06
That's exactly what I kept saying since the beginning.

Appreciate the feedback. Obviously this game isn't for everyone. When someone might be used to a certain function such as changing your training settings with 1-click, they might be reluctant to a different system where you have more options and require more time out of you when you first set up your players.

Well, the tutorial is not understandable at all in french, there are too much things to remember to play. I don't have so much time, SK is enough for me... A bit disappointed because i wish a more simple game that this one created but good luck :-)

Don't count on me, i registered but stopped right now.

the problem is that seems the hard playing starts just in the beggining. Sokker has a big problem, it is actually a very hard game, also in the beggining but in first steps you shouldn't know very much to start to play, after you can learn more and sokker could be more hard than your game in top levels. result: 30k users in 10 years. people shouldn't like to play hard games... prefer to play TOP MANAGER

@borkos: didn't read later posts :P

wonderful job. great, great game

I think this game will be the death of sokker. :D

Time will tell, but I don't think so.

In last 4-5 years there were lots of new, good football managers. Most of them didn't break through, some of them did like goal united - but it was due to high-cost advertisement, I saw lots of their ads in Polish internet, even in Polish television.

FS is well prepared on the outside, very nice layout, but it seems too complicated, you need to spend a lot of time on training and youth training...and most people don't want that, especially in modern times when you don't have a lot of spare time and you usually already play 1-2-3 games like that.

Most people stopped playing sokker right after registration because it seemed complicated with training and tactics...imagine their reaction when they register to FS and see the training scheduler :P

Well it does need some set-up at first but if you set the training to automatic it´s pretty much just checking player advancements time to time and playing matches. I like that the tactics is pretty much built up like in FM. Not so advanced yet, but its something.

Setting your training is a total pain in the ass if you do it manually there's. No denying that . I haven't tested automatically is that any good? Couldn't find what skill you need at what position by the way. :)
And it's also totally unclear what financial leeway I have right now so I think I am going to wait before doing any investments.

The training part made me leave to be honest, it's too time-consuming and I don't like automatic settings because I always feel that it's badly made...:p

It's just too much...deciding for EACH player in main team and youth team...what training, which position training, when does he train and when he rests etc...and you also have to think a lot when to rest the player and when to train him, regularly check the progress in training.

I mean...yes, it is nice to have a game that goes deep with detail, good work for that...it will definitely make some footie nerds very happy, but in the same time it will scare away casual users and every game needs casual users because they are the biggest group...

You do indeed have to spent a few minutes when setting up players, but afterwords if you don't have the time to check back when you rest and such there are many tools that will enable you to go "automatic" mode until you wish to change a particular option. There is no need to check when does he train or when he resets, you can simply select a saved formation for players who you wish to rest before a match day, or have them train on days where the player has a certain amount of condition level. I would definitely not say this is a "plug-in-play", but it is after spending some time in getting familiar with the features (just like you would in a game that you're not completely used too). I believe it's very easy to get accustom with if you really give it a chance, and I know most users who did will agree.

Yes you must begin as a hardcore user, but after you set roles and training it's good even if you play casual.
In FS you have a long bench and regular players aren't irrepleaceable (as in sokker) so the chance to loss by forfeit is very low. And with auto training you can control player progress even only every 2 weeks...

Yes, but what's the point in playing with auto training. It would be like letting your opponents improve better.

I understand what you and Demitrick are saying, and it's fine by me.

I'm just wishing this project all the best and I'm afraid that this nuisance in the beginning of adventure with FS will scare away many users.
