But on topic... game looks promising.... if it gets good userbase im addicted... for now i play, and see where it leads.... and admins seems very responsive towards the community...

Same thing for me. I am just going to play and see whatever happens. Game needs some tweaking anyway u19 bots are too powerful for example in my humble opinion.

the game still looks pretty much dead, barely over 600 users.

the promotion is even worse than sokker's :S

I must say it's beginning to start a little bit. Trainingsystem is more clear now with no hidden factors. The financial management part is way better than in sokker imo. I don't watch matches there, but I'm starting to enjoy the game. Userbase id going up again by the way.

~3 months ago there were around 900 users. Now there are 630. How exactly is it going up? :p

It seems that FS has a decent 'bot clearance' system and quite regularly deletes the inactive accounts...which is a good thing, but the numbers are very, very bad.

I'm really surprised, because even if I didn't like the game due to some reasons, I still thought that it had good potential to reach 50-80 thousand users.

The case might be that the market for browser managers is already dead due to sudden improvements in new technologies in recent years [smartphones, tablets]

It's all about instant gratification anyway. Games like sokker and football strategy require you to be active for years to reach success and one season takes about 4 months whereas a season in the PC game Football Manager, which goes much deeper strategy wise and uses official licenses, can take as few as 4 hours. The big difference between sokker and football strategy is that when you're active in all cups you have 6 official matches a week and 2 when you're out so there's more to do. Hopefully that appeals to the masses.

The game is pretty much still a work in progress and I am sure once everything is stable and working well more users will join. Figures like 50k+ however are probably a thing of the past.

Well, there were 500 last week, now the userbase is growing again.

+ the developers are extremely good in listening to the users and adapting things if there is a poll, a question, ...

A club just needs a couple of seasons to be started and for most of the managers that's a problem...

True. They listen very well indeed and that's a huge plus :)

I quit, i wanted to play semi active, just to find out, that you had to set the training, to be done instead of rest, instead the other way around, so i lest a lot of training due to that, made me quit the game...

If you're a national team coach don't forget to set your formations and tactics as the upcoming matches will start from Thursday on.

@adaca: You're right. FS is a bit of a bumpy ride now. A lot of things go 'wrong' and it's for people to decide whether they buckle up or stop enjoying ride. ;-)

This is a good game, I like it, I just created a new account one week ago and the game is interesting... of course it needs to improve some thing, but in general is good (even the 3D simulator)
