all in all a good match to watch!
2014-06-30 22:56:42
best match in playoffs so far i think.
2014-06-30 23:08:25
I still enjoyed Brasil-Chile more. But there are 40 minutes to go... :P
2014-06-30 23:12:43
Lol Brasil-Chile was an awful and boring match which ended in a unfair victory.
2014-06-30 23:17:04
An even match decided on penalties can't be unfair, whoever wins.

Now, if you find that boring, consider other sports :P

Really good match to watch, even without any goals so far. A lot is happening. Still hoping for a surprise in this round, maybe Algeria is that team.
2014-06-30 23:28:14
I don't know why Löw imitates Guardiola, but Lahm back as a wing back is bad news for Algeria.
2014-06-30 23:36:40
The match itself was really boring, passing and intercepting with two random goals after errors.

Neuer is too good as a sweeper keeper, unlucky for Algiers.
They deserve to go through and play their former colonists :D
2014-06-30 23:45:41
That has to be the best free-kick of the tournament so far :P
2014-06-30 23:48:48
best free kick in history of World Cup

not in history of football - I remember Fiorentina making a much worse one 3-4 years ago, it was magical :))

interesting fact:

8 Algierian players who took part in WC '82 and '86 conceived disabled babies, one of the had three daughters, all of them with muscular dystrophy. General chance of conceiving a disabled baby: 3%.

Probably due to doping by Russian medical staff of their team, but it was never investigated.

I just discovered that RAI (Italian National Television) is streaming the match also in a "tactical view" without comments... very interesting!
I left you the URL above but I think it can be reached only from Italy...

Interesting to see how Algeria is always pretty simmetrical while Germany is NOT... they often shift a lot of players on one side, creating "more men than Algeria"... and that helped in the creation of the goal (4 players moved to the left side)...

Seems that Germany has now the same medics as they didn't even seem tired.. :)

One of the best matches in a long time. Neuer was the savior of the German defensive line, without him interfering several through balls it could've gone opposite way. Algeria was good but Germany just was stronger. France will beat them next round though, at least I hope.

Unfortunatelly, Onazi have both tibia and fibula broken.
