I wonder if Pastore wouldn't be useful for your team. You seem to lack this kind of 'dreamer' playmaker who can make a magical pass out of nothing...

I think we have too many players atempting "magi passes", hence losing the ball. We need a Xavi, a Riquelme, etc, to do completely easy and useless passes, without ever giving it back to our opponents, until they get bored, asleep, distracted, or just unitl we see the opportunity of a magical pass that isn't actually that difficult. We need such passing and a lot of movement up front. But maybe not even then. Our matches look a lot like the latest Barcelona matches: everyone knows what to do and we don't find an easy way out... only our passing os overall more shaky than theirs :P

I guess pastore could be part of a team more focused on that, like we had back in 2006. But it's not clear he on his own would cause that change, nor that he would fit in the team as it is. Maybe as an alternative in certain matches, but not more so than Ricky Álvarez. In the end, we have a lethal team in fast, open-space plays that always face slow, no-space situations :P I wonder if it would be the same for Netherlands against opponents like Iran, Switzerland, etc. Except they did create a lot of opportunities against México when Mexicans attempted to go full defense. Maybe México didn't do it as well as the Swiss, maybe Netherlands is just better than us in any circumstances :P

It must be hard for coaches like Klinsmann (former world class striker) to watch that kind of finishing in the very last minute :P
