and actually,a good percent of the cost came from sponsors and you have to realise this is a good thing for you: better infrastructure, roads, highways, stadiums, a lot of tourists, therefore more money for the hotels, bars, and of course the money from VTA that comes from all these services and products

There is no evidence around the whole world of hosting WC/Olympic Games/etc being particularly good for the host. All the existing scientific literature on the subject found either no effect or negative effects for the host country.

Italy team is not happy to play at 13:00. We'we lose the 1994 final because our player was completely destroyed after 5 matches played at noon with 42°...
