Asunto: SOKKER REVOLUTION! JOIN THE MOVEMENT & SIGN UP

2016-04-06 23:27:15
Will you sign a contract with all of them? Will they earn money for their work? Will their earn equal % of money made by the game?

Or will they just be unpaid volunteers...:-)

Good question :) But not sure if you get an answer because it's up to them and the deals they make ;)

And will staff get paid? I get nothing from greg for all my hard work as active staff, mods and admins do get something, free Plus as some 'payment' (it's not much, but it is something and 100% more as all linguists, promoters and tutors get for their work).

I wanted to buy sokker.org a few years ago just to make it better and more usable for the users.

I like the idea! if they (greg/DEVs) did not continuing to develop sokker anymore, why not to sell it?

you're right

To be honest I like the project and I'll support it.

Trying to use intellectual honesty I think we can't say "Sokker revolution" because only Greg can do it (or new owner since Greg and Damian has been deleted).
And probably this kind of games are over, as mentioned before by Borkos.

Simply, it would be a new game, so it cannot be a Sokker revolution.
But, as said, I'm glad to hear about this new projec and I joined the movement happily.

BlueZero talked about messaing greg a few years ago to buy sokker, I wonder if approaching him now might be more successful? It's no secret the game is losing users and heading towards a plug pull eventually. Greg can either drain the final funds out of it before removing it, or sell it for a nice chunk and get out that way. I think making an offer now could possibly work

I've been here for almost 11 years , and I wish you nothing but good luck :)

I'm in

How much is Sokker worth nowadays?
2016-04-08 04:08:24
a shiny penny

lol, is there actually still a dev around?
If not, how can we be sure one day the domain name will simply be gone? Or that in case of an issue (e.g. games not starting), someone will actually fix it?
2016-04-08 10:17:46
Kongbuur says that sokker is alive and kicking, so it won't be gone ;P

I think half of the active community just expects one day to see 'the page cannot be found' when trying to log in :)
2016-04-08 10:47:02
The question is: what would we do with our life then? :P That's why I find the Ila-a's idea interesting.
2016-04-08 10:48:33
Given we don't know where damian and greg live, I'll have to torch all of Poland :)

I really feel the same way about the game as many others here, since i have been around also for years supporting the game.
If something bad happens, its good that the same community are connected imo.
So just sign-up here, since you don't loose anything if you do it. Even if Sokker gets beter, then that will be good news for everyone!

Btw, who are the new owners? if greg and damian are deleted as mentioned above?

They're not deleted, they're just inactive. greg is focused on different projects, as far as I know.
