Asunto: H. Clinton or D. Trump, who's next USA president?
For every country the leader it deserves :) Apart from his backward viewpoints on environment, he might not be too bad for Europeans, if he really stops TTIP and improves relations with Russia. I wouldn't want to live in Murica in the next few years tho :p
Bring back industry and manufacturers to the USA...
Yeh, by making all costs like wages and material costs lower as those in China, India, Singapore and even Mexico .... good idea to make the US 'great' again. That's impossible without making all workers even more unhappy. The middle class is already earning less as last decades because of way to low raises.
If you think cheap import from China (Asia) is a problem you have no idea what you are talking about, or don't you have a phone, tv, other electronics, clothing, car, etc etc etc?
The First World need those countries to get our stuff for cheap. No one is willing to work the hours the Asians are working and for that little money they earn.

what a piece of nonsense.
what a piece of nonsense.
If only global warming wasn't a hoax in his opinion ... which is a much bigger issue than TTIP etc :)
For your information, there's nearly no middle class left in the usa. a very little part moved upwards, the rest got added to the poor classes...
The unemployement rate is pretty high, and a fifth of usa's population needs food stamps....
The problem is not the cheap import from China, but the profit the companies are still making (slavery, still overrated prices due to bad quality, etc).
As for China being cheap, it was true in the past. The working class making progress there has been raising the salaries. You need an update! :-O
And for prices staying low, something exists to normally protect your own industry/manufacturer: costum duties! :o)

No. The upper class got its income increased, the middle class just stagnated. In relative terms, they are further back, but they can't be below the (relative) poverty line because thy're the ones setting it. So inequality is higher because the better off went up and the middle group went nowhere.
The unemployement rate is pretty high
No, it's not (~5%). It raised with the crisis, it returned to normal already (and to incredibly low by WU standards, but that's always the case, the same as comapring Switzerland and the EU).

They are very effective at lowering your purchasing power, and not much else. Inefficient industries don't have to be protected, it's consumers who need to be protected from inefficient industries.

I don't speak about income, but about the population repartition into lower, middle and upper class. Economical liberalism like applied in the usa tend to destroy the middle class.
The official unemployement rate is biased as it is now. Many americans no longer search for work, and this way they are not counted in the official statistics. Of course it can't be 5%, it's more likely to be around 20%.
Please don't compare the US to Switzerland. We still have an industry unlike the US, and our national statistics are much more trustworthy...

And what do you base that partition on? Some hunch you have?
Economical liberalism like applied in the usa tend to destroy the middle class.
You can say many things about economic liberalism, but it's not like it's something new to the US. American middle class first emerged in even more liberal times. "Economic liberalism tends to destroy middle class" is doctrine, but we were discussing facts about the current US situations.

So, you oppose facts, because you consider them biased (no proof), and you rather substitute them with conjectures made of thin air. If you think there is a bias in the official statistics, please quantify it and come with an estimate based on the official number and that measure of the bias, and we can discuss the validity of your assumptions. But please, don't just pull numbers out of your bottom, because you'll end up saying nonsense like "around 20%": I can only understand that because you never witnessed such numbers in your whole life, but as someone who has lived in 2 different countries that went above 20% unemployment, I can tell you you don't have the faintest idea of what you are talking about. Especially considering the US social security system is much weaker than in Europe. Greece would be paradise compared with a US at 20% unemployment.

I compared the historical unemployment rates and nothing else. Pretending that implies I posit the two countries are identical is a big time strawman. Don't embarrass yourself.

There still is a large part the middle class, they only did become more poor.
And you do know this is the new president for the white rich people and businesses, lower taxes and less worker rights? It will get worse for the normal and low income Americans. And protectionism won't happen without the government forbidding companies to outsource to cheaper countries and import cheaper products and materials.
customs duty won't stop cheaper import and labour in Asia and south America. It is impossible to beat those prices without lower the life standard of a First World countries to a Second World country.
See alibaba.com, that is the fact about cheap prices for products. I think you need an update and check for yourself.

Protests and riots in cities in the US. Live on CNN, roads are blocked. Police is arresting people, but more are coming in to protest.

This is what Trump has set up with his hate. Hopefully it won't effect European politics and the white trash voters even more.
