Asunto: Films

Just watched Shutter Island and have to say it was gooood. Really well made, atmosphere was great, sounds and music really well used and I also liked the story eventhough one could guess some parts of the end but thats normal. I also liked the fact that it had the feeling of an much older movie than it was but in a good way. It was all about the story, characters and the atmosphere.

I liked "It's Complicated". Not the best movie in the world perhaps, but good enough. And Meryl Streep is always brilliant :)

Haven't seen "The Book of Eli" yet, but are planning too. Haven't heard that much good about it however so I'm not expecting much.

As for the other two I think you might be in for a good time.

I really liked "The Road". It wasn't like most stuff you see nowadays and the acting from Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee was absolutely brilliant. It's worth to see the movie for those two alone. Great together.

"Shutter Island" is more or less just another of Scorseses great movies (though not one of his greatest perhaps). Can he make a bad one?
It's really good and the same can be said about the acting. Scorsese + Di Caprio = great movie :)
Would however like to say that it's not flawless. There were a few things in it that I didn't like and I was actually quite shocked to see the bad editing. Thelma Schoonmaker who always works with Scorsese and who is usually great at what she does really had a bad day with this one.

The Book of Eli was an ok movie. Acting was ok, world was well made and I liked the lack of colors in the movie. Of course there were some but they held back the bright colors witch was a good thing considering the world they lived in.

Just saw Undisputed III, to me it was the best fighting movie ever made. Not some chinese fast shit but some more realistic fights(in Hollywood style of course). Plot was predictable but that was not why this movie was made. Almost as good motivational movie as Rocky series.

Oh, and Scott Adkins is damn good.
