Could you explain me in what context do you use word "dir" in German.

For Example:
- I help you
- Ich helfe dir

"Dir" is the dative form of the personal pronoun second singular form and is used when some other parts of speech require the use of Dative case.

Like Viva said "Ich helfe dir" - the verb "helfen" / "geben" / "senden" and many other require dative, so the pronoun "du" must be in this form.

Thanks a lot. I have learnt this but i just can´t remember it. That´s the problem if you don´t use language frequently.

Did I make a mistake?

no, i wanted to say only that maybe he needed in perfekt. eg my teacher is so, if he required sentences in perfekt, he wouldn't accept in imperfekt ;/
