So this bug appeared for me from a week or so ago.
I cannot add any notes to players' profiles. When I try to add a public note - ie mention the talent of a youth pull - and click save, the game takes me to the 'Contacts' page in the office without publishing the note.
Anybody have similar issues ?

Working for me. Try log off (through gear icon in top right) and on again or log in different browser/incognito mode, that solves 90% of all the issues.
