Better training method would be...
Everybody trains a left column skill + GT, regardless of matches played or injuries
Then ALL U21 players can train an additional skill with matches played (ANY skill)
Stamina goes up with matches played and goes down with injuries or age (33+)
Left column skills can be switched on a weekly basis, the right column skill will go up with experience from matches played on that position for players from age 22 and older
I know nothing will happen, but I had this idea, so I placed it here.

So the question I have is, why would it be better? I agree with you on Stamina but the rest I'm not convinced about.
Because I believe it will be much more realistic and it will give managers a proper reason to play all their players and not playing corner tactics.
The fact that every player who plays matches will train their position skill will surely make a big difference in the importance of matches.
