I have the following prospect:

Ryan Blunsden, very good, 26

Current 3 week talent

that looks nice.
2007-10-11 10:53:56
That's (almost) divine.
2007-10-11 10:54:09
he is your golden mine !!! not only a prospect LOL
2007-10-11 10:57:03
At current pop rate he will be divine +2.

But he is likely to get a couple of four week pops along the line, so likely to be unearthly.

Aye, apparently there has yet to be a straight 3 week popper, so i'd expect him to have at least 2 4 week'ers in there.

A shame, but pretty schweet.

Winston Fogden formidable 9

my first youth to pop to formidable ... woohoo! is 5.5 week talent so outstanding +3.5 when he pops. hope he fits my training plan.
Have another one who will graduate in 6 weeks as formidable +2 with 4.5 week talent, so could be nice.
Best youth is at Solid 20, will be Very good @ 18 and has a 4.5 week talent so should pop at incredible.

I have an 'excellent' youth coach... is it worth an upgrade?

His name suggests he went to boarding school, so good luck with that!

I upgraded from a very good to formidable (2 levels) a while ago, and one of my youths gained 1.4 weeks per pop; from 6 weeks to 4.6.

The gamble is up to you, put with talent at 4.5, i'd expect your popping to be 0.5 weeks faster.
2007-10-11 19:01:33
that would make the difference of a level for the 20 week youth... hmmm. but would have to go to outstanding to rise 2 levels which is expensive.... hmmm
2007-10-11 19:51:02
It's probably worth it in the long run tho. Since changing from an excellent to an outstanding youth coach i'm finding quite a few really decent players coming out in with the complete dross i was getting before.
2007-10-13 11:21:42
Especially as the best juniors fetch top prices - they pay for a decent coach, it's just a matter of waiting (and luck).
Formidablejunior.
Average weeks per pop: 5.2
Actual weeks per pop: 2*,5,5,6,5,5,

Kris Stanley, age: 19
value: 43 950 £, wage: 660 £
club: Slackers FC, country: England
very good form, tragic tactical discipline

average stamina, hopeless keeper
hopeless pace, tragic defender
very good technique, hopeless playmaker
very good passing, hopeless striker

Disappointed with this one. Is listed.

ok i bit the financial bullet and upgraded to Outstanding for junior coach... i figure that as i should kill my league this season (the joy of relegating into an almost entirely bot division IV league) i won't need any new players during the season. so with no transfers in and some talented youths promoting, i should be able to ride the wage bill. also nice to have the option of defender training as he is unearthly in this skill.

cheers for the advice everyone, and here's hoping you all know what the f*** you're talking about!!!

Plus he's an english coach with the name Ziggy Major which is frankly brilliant!!!

That's another one we've screwed over.
