Just had a look through and there is one message at the bottom of my mail list. It was Kipper88 of Celtic Wanderers that I spoke to about Parrish when he first arrived.

I remember that message, I am glad to see that he is doing so well for you. Plus it is nice to know i am a 'respected member of the community' if only my mum could see me now.

thanks woppa, shes dead but thans for bringing it up.

OK then. I trust jjk130500 that he knows what he trained when.

So, in 7 weeks, the player enjoyed random pops taking him from a 4 to a 5 rating.

Being pretty low level, pops will be bigger here, but we are estimating at roughly 1/7th of a pop per week.

Of course, until a 3rd random pop we don't get accurate speed - as he may have been at 4.14 in his first week at "4" and now at 5.00 - so only 0.86 of a pop in 7 weeks - which makes it around 8 weeks for a full level rise in random pops - at levels 4 to 5.

We normally estimate random pops at around 1/8th of normal training, so this equates to a single-week pop for levels 4 to 5 - which is fast - normally we only see 1 week pops in levels 1 to 4. But is not a million miles away.

Also, maybe...random pops ARE random - and not a simple mathematical formula giving a percentage of training based on coaches??

I'll go dig through my players for random pops.
2006-10-15 17:59:02
I will let you know if he pops again I will keep training passing and pm until the end of next season. I may break for some stamina but thats will be only for a couple of weeks.
2006-10-15 18:12:02
Imo it's impossible...what coaches do you have?
2006-10-15 20:13:05
Imo - Why? I have given proof that it has happend so why question it even more? Some people are just too ignorant. But just to amuse you these are my coaches:

Main Coach:

Sebastian Rooney, age: 35,
wage: 13 935 £
club: Springfield Wanderers, country: England
outstanding coach

Training effectiveness:
solid of stamina, unsatisfactory of keeper
brilliant of pace, brilliant of defender
magical of technique, unearthly of playmaker
unearthly of passing, formidable of striker

Assistants:

Damian Lowe, age: 59,
wage: 2 820 £
club: Springfield Wanderers, country: England
solid coach

Training effectiveness:
excellent of stamina, poor of keeper
solid of pace, very good of defender
weak of technique, incredible of playmaker
weak of passing, outstanding of striker

Basil Wade, age: 54,
wage: 10 215 £
club: Springfield Wanderers, country: England
excellent coach

Training effectiveness:
magical of stamina, poor of keeper
magical of pace, tragic of defender
brilliant of technique, outstanding of playmaker
magical of passing, unsatisfactory of striker

Tristan Gardiner, age: 65,
wage: 2 415 £
club: Springfield Wanderers, country: England
good coach

Training effectiveness:
very good of stamina, unsatisfactory of keeper
good of pace, brilliant of defender
solid of technique, adequate of playmaker
solid of passing, good of striker

Now people are going to say that it is impossible because my coaches are not very good either. Well it has happend, and to be honest i am starting to think that i shouldnt have said anything in the first place. Just wanted other peoples opinions onif they thought he was talented enough, not start a worldwide debate about if I have been lying about my training regime. This game is supposed to be fun, thats what sets it apart from that oHTer game, but right now it seems worse than HT. Its crap like this from small minded people that makes people want to quit. New ideas and events on sokker should be embraced and welcomed, not to be questioned or have accusations thrown about.
borkos007 - IMO your IMO doesnt count for anything for the reasons said above.

I think the proof of the talent will be in the next random pop you get. There could be other non general training factors somewhere in there that no one knows about which hasn't been considered yet.

For instance, maybe certain trainings increase general trainings on certain skills (no way to prove if there is or isn't), or maybe there is some random factor in general training.

I'd suggest anyone else not carry on fighting about this issue, unless a holiday for the forums is wanted. It has happened, and I think it's more important to try and figure out exactly why.

i wouldnt worry what people think with this game some calculations of players popping are still being guessed even some of the stuff the guys who know what they are talking about is wrong or maybe not wrong but just slightly mistaken you have no reason to lie. so i for one believe you totally
2006-10-15 20:24:54
Yeah same here i see no reason why you would make it up its not like he was for sale and you wanted to bump the price or anything.

People think they know alot about the game but i think where all still learning.
2006-10-15 20:27:51
I don't say he is lying, though maybe he made a mistake...?
2006-10-15 20:28:54
