I've got a 12 man YS which I've been increasing in size as sponsor money increases.
So far I've not actually been able to sell a single youth from it, although I have kept one, if I'd sold him though, I would have been lucky to get more than £1000.

Spaces, currently 10 in it. My last upgrade was 11 to 12 this week.
So, assuming £4k for a coach and an average of 7 spaces during your time you've burnt through a more respectible average of £7500 per week - which is still £225,000.....
I'm sure that money would have been better off with more seats in the stadium.
Although as you get more players in the YS it does become more efficient as the contribution from the youth coach gets smaller (ie 1 youth junior squad would be 4600 per player, 2 youth 2600 per player etc).

per week.
Yep, that;s why I've always had 6 extra slots - to allow for max expansion, just have got a lot of guff.
Am cutting down now just the cream to be kept :)

i just sold my latest youth for 42 768 £ yesterday. :)
but the only other youth i've ever sold was for just 1k, and that was after a week of training, though i did keep anoher guy that could have fetched 30k ish.
my coach is excellent and costs 5 490 £.
and i've got 11 youths in the squad (all at least average), including 3 very goods one of which will be outstanding when promoted :)

That pays for half a season. Plus I had a couple of lesser lights sold, too.
Thing is, I think we are talking about this prematurely. My youth team is only just spewing forth the players I decided to keep. For example, my best two guys are still 8 and 9 weeks away from fruition, respectively.
I think it's worth it, but then I would, wouldn't I?

Wow! woppa, fantastic youths! did you just pull all of them today? that solid 17 yr old keeper is especially lucky!

ended up good + god knows how much (at least 6, i went away on holiday for a bit so lost track when he popped to good). must surely be 1 week from popping to solid:

Yeah, got those three in a week. Finally my youth policy is starting to pay dividends. It's been crippling me for long enough, so it's about time.
Adequate 9 and weak 28.
Keeping the ade 9, keeping the weak until Thursday.
