I think that it can only be a good thing personally. You still have the randomness as you dont know what they will be better skilled at, but you are more likely to make more money or get better trainees if they are skilled in more than one area. If people are making more money they will be able to survive and get better, this means more people staying on in the game for greater periods of time. This means that there will be better players for the NT & U-20 (when it arrives!), and also make the current leagues more competative.
Interesting theory. I figured that there was a "keeper" flag and an "outfielder" flag, rather than a "defender", "striker" etc flag. This allows us to decide where to play the players. Look at Igor Tudor in real life (or closer to home, Ledley King). Plays most of his club games as centre back, plays for his country as defensive midfielder.
So I guess that midfielders will become better, as ALL of the skills are needed for a top class midfielder (maybe drop one of defending or shooting).

yes, i would expect prices to drop in trainee midfielders, and rise in strikers. this may of course be effected by what people choose to train, and is ultimately mere conjecture and therefore totally unprovable.
its one of those things that you can't decide the old way or the new way(well me anyway) as long as it doesen't drop gk prices any lower!!!! it doesen't bother
me :)
me :)
drop you say! lower enough already aint they :)
Dunno. Haven't been active in the transfer market for quite some time.
its going to be a long while for me know skint gotta train to get some money back
What do you mean NCN by a drop in midfield trainies i.e. those under solid for the 4 main skills (pace, tech, passing and playmaking)?
Cos if you mean those as well then I am screwed

I think he means that there will be a drop in price if you decide to sell your trainees, as any youths will be more rounded...so, there SHOULD be more well rounded players available on the transfer list. These more well rounded players will be ideal for midfielders, who need more skills than any other position (arguably). If that is what he means, then I agree, too.
However, a lot of players all around the average level in a lot of skills means that a player around the good mark in a lot of skills will stand out and could make a massive amount of money. We'll have to wait and see, but in principle, I agree with NCN and will suggest that there will be more players with most skills, so they will become cheaper.

I think thats true too, but I would be intersted to see what they mean by 'higher' leverls, i.e. is that formidable and above?
That might be good for me if I can get some money together for the next few weeks.

yeah, what woppa said.
I'm going to employ woppa as my personal explainer, so that he can translate my thoughts into english from now on.

I thought you were as brief as my thoughts allowed.
