I'm not too sure. I think he may have gone up once or twice beforem I promoted him.
I have a very good youth coach, do you reckon that's about right or should I get a better one?

a few of the top teams that make money every week have stupidly good coaches, but they only improve the speed of improvement in skills by a week or two. so i'd say stick with what you have. i have a formidable coach, which is a bit better, but not much.

Changing the subject..I'm looking to get promoted to div3, any tips in getting promoted and staying up?
make sure your players have at least good stamina, get some good but cheap young players to train in the position you are strongest in, and replace any poor players you have with older better, cheap ones.
oh, and www.freewebs.com/sokkerhelp will help you a lot. once we've got the latest version back from the bloke that wrote it...

Most my players have poor stamina, does it make that much difference then? Does form drop when you train it, like in Hattrick?
nope form doesnt drop, but when you watch your matches you should see a significant fall in your players skills come the second half of a match.
the recommended minimum is solid so thats say 5 weeks of training

oh...I best sort that out then!!
Any other tips?
I'm looking to get into div3, just got a qualifier this Sun against a team with no manager. Might not win it but if I do I'm in Div3 and will have much harder games, so any tips will be much appreciated
thanks

Here's a step by step guide I prepared. Apologies if some of it is bleeding obvious, but it details pretty much every step you need to take. This is exactly the steps I took, and everything worked.
Probably best if you delete any SokkerMon stuff from previous efforts.
1. Go to http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=6860847 and click through the "Download" links until you download the zip file.
2. Go to http://194.106.172.70/filjo/sokker/serial.php and put in your username and generate the serial code. Copy the numbers.
3. Right click on your Desktop and choose "New >> File". Name it serial.txt
4. Open up serial.txt and paste in the serial numbers that you generated in stage 2. Save the file. Close it.
5. Again, right click on the Desktop. This time go to "New >> Folder". Name it what you like. I named mine "Sokkermon" (without the quotes).
6. Go and find the zip file that you downloaded in stage 1. Copy/Cut it from wherever it is, go to the new folder on the Desktop. Open the new folder on the desktop and then paste the zip file in there.
7. Now we need to extract the files from the zip. If you've got winRar installed just right click the zip file and choose "Extract Here". Done.
If you're using Windows XP's own extraction thing (which you probably will be by default) then once you open the zip go to "File >> Extract All..." The Extraction Wizard will start up. Click "Next". The default location will be wrong (it'll be trying to make an extra folder which we don't want), so click on Browse. Go and find your folder (Desktop/Sokkermon in my example). Click "OK". Click "Next" then click "Finished". Done.
8. You will now have your folder on your Desktop which will have inside it the original zip file, a folder called LangUTF and an application file called SokkerMon5.
9. Delete/Move/Whatever the zip file so that only the LangUTF folder and SokkerMon5 application file are left in your folder.
10. Go find the serial.txt file we created earlier on the Desktop. Cut/Copy it. Navigate back into your new folder and paste the serial.txt file there.
11. Your new Sokkermon folder now has 3 things in it: LangUTF folder, SokkerMon5 app and the serial.txt file.
12. Double click SokkerMon5 to start it up.
