Having a junior squad is becoming more worthwhile than it was though, with more teams with more money than in the past.
2006-09-26 21:47:13
if you get a good one it definitely is.

AND we need junior teams for England.

AND you always know talent

But I think it can be expensive.
2006-09-26 22:07:56
Knowing the talent is key for me...I'd guess it can save you buying some right duffers. But once you get to the top of the tree and you are competing for the big youngsters, they are nearly all highly talented anyway. You couldn't have a double excellent 17yo without talent, for instance.

its something im trying to do, any juniors that lokk half decent i try to keep now, but when i need a new player, i try to buy the cheapest possible, that i still want
2006-09-26 22:33:22
It's true, large amounts can be saved by not having to go out shopping.

I've got the grand total of 1 home grown talent in my team so far.

I have my first ever 3 week pop in my youth squad now though, to celebrate I just spent a ludicrous amount on a magical coach!
2006-09-26 23:11:34
Yup, being a geek I've already factored in the cost of the spaces and the cost of the coach's wage into the £1.5m profit margin ;)

I think I've lost 500k or so
2006-09-26 23:17:56
I'd guess I've lost about a mill, but I've only spent 45k on players and could sell my reserves for quite a bit, I'd guess.
