I got one last week called 'Miles Short,' which also inexplicably amuses me.
2006-12-02 19:14:06
You have to add him to the Chopper Wibble training programme!
2006-12-02 19:17:39
Aye, he's in there: my new procurement programme is based on an arbitrary 'amusing name' rating, rather than talent or anything silly like that now.

Mine too! Sod the Gibby's and the FM's of the world with their boring Man U style "serious" football!

I am a Wednesday fan - I know comical play when I see it!

Wednesday fans are great. I went to see Weds play Villa once, it was the season they got relegated from the Premiership, a December game and Wednesday were on 9 points. Inexplicably Weds went a goal up, and stayed ahead until about the 60th minutes, to choruses of "You're not very good, you're not very good, you're not very, you're not very, you're not very good !" from the Wednesday fans. They lost 2-1 in the end, but I left feeling that the fans deserved a better team than they had that day.

Yes. It has been that way for a long time! There has always been a wit at Hillsborough. Very handy really as we often play poorly and have to put up with possibly the worst club band in history (but funny).

Still, a good result (again) today. I always said Sturrock was rubbish :s
2006-12-02 21:16:45
Curiously he fits into the same category as Emile Heskey. Players love them, backroom staff worship them and the fans scratch their heads in bemusement...

On paper the dude rocks, but we have seen some cracking managers come and go with the Mighty Owls being a bit of a career stumbling point. Still, I would have a go in a flash!
