2016, the whole year, was sad for my youth team
Only 7 players sold, I think around 50 sacked immediately.

Luckily one was over 1M but the rest was really crappy

Let's hope in the 2017, or let's hope I'll start in understanding the youths :D

That's unfortunate, some schools are so lucky some are unlucky, you are due a top junior so maybe this season or next...

Um, I'm not sure I would agree with that. How much does the youth school cost to run over a season? If you could guarantee at least one 1m player every season I would snap your arm off and sign the contract right now even if the other xxx youth players were all a pile of do do ...

... and that's coming from somebody who has just sold a YP for 2.8m the other day. But, that's only one of a couple such YPs (who I have sold immediately) that I have had since I started playing. Tbh, I could probably have sold Bryan (who I still have) and a couple of others for large sums without training too. Yet, I would still settle for 1m every season, thank you very much :-)

The whole of 2016 is what 3 or 4 seasons? So that one player has basically only paid for most of his costs, nothing more ...

Yes it's time i trimmed my junior school down more!
it works out over 2.25 mill if you have 24 juniors for 52 weeks [with unearthly coach @ around 30 grand a week]
but yes people have had crazy amounts back just look at nothis, i choose not to sell pethers cos i can afford to keep when you have had 1 or 2 lovely players you sell them so you can keep your school and then you can keep future ones great juniors.

It appears my youth school costs me rather less than I thought? It seems to average out at around 15k, yet I had it in my mind that it were more like 20k. On those costs, you would still run a profit over a year with just one 1m player. It wouldn't be much, but it would still be a profit ...

Thanks for adding the coach cost.

Just sacked 5 so saving 3000 this week lol but I was always close to 30 and really shouldn't be, even 3000 x 52 = £156,000 a year cheaper.

Yes sorry, 748,000 for just the 24 juniors, which is why i always made sure i got cheapest coach wages [for magical overall] so saved there in the long run

Actually, when you consider the coach costs my youth school actually costs me around 600-650k every season. That's a fairly sizeable amount if it doesn't actually produce anything. Recently I've been lucky in that regard.

Yes but who's gonna get a lovely 1st week 16yo junior?? gotta have 6 spaces for that :D

Currently, I only have 19 juniors (and that's the highest it's been for a long time), add 6 spaces makes 25x600=15k for the week. So my 6 spaces are waiting for the next superstar ;-)

Actually, it's now less than that after sacking 4 ...
