I believe you were in the prem on more than one occasion when I won it.

I didn't log in again after putting the team up for sale but would have been in excess of £40m.

I didn’t have that much but from memory I had at least £13m in the bank and some decent players too. My strategy was to have a decent team ticking over with training making a money pot - got the idea from Phil something who made lots of money to fund his prem wins. Was planning to use the money pot when I had time to play properly…but went thru crazy home life then crazy busy work period - didn’t have a windows laptop and once my company blocked it from the network was a nightmare using phone and then I simply forgot…to be fair to sokker and I think Bryan Robson I had my team reinstated once and then promptly failed again..

This sounds just like how i left things to be honest. You have every intention to keep things ticking over but eventually it turns from every week, to every couple of weeks, then you forget the game even exists.

The game was dwindling though, and has continued to do so. The community we had back then was what kept me wanting to play, and when long-serving users started dropping it's hard to keep up the flagging motivation.

Biggest thing for me personally was when they changed the talent for youths from "known" to, well, "best estimate".

Im interested, I wish I could remember how much I wasted upping my stadium capacity.

£2m roughly for each of the 16,000 cap stands…

I just looked and its just under 2.5m so its around 10m in total.

Good news the stamina returned and I had 3 pops :)

Some other decent pops today in a decent week......need my keeper back soon. I wonder when the champions trophy starts? I will not be in it for long I am sure lol

Still no confirmation on whether league reform is actually happening, so have to play to win in the playoff.

Not really sure what benefit there is of playing the Champs Cup? Either way we cannot compete with larger league sides with Poland anyway regarding finances can we?

I have the Spanish champions who get ratings of nearly 80….a full 10 points above me. Also won’t have my keeper available so I’m as good as out now.

A side from Luxembourg has won it with about 2-3 active users at that time.

That’s impressive….I don’t have the funds or players to do that though.

AKA getting in the excuses early.

Honestly if I wanted to I could have sold most of my side and bought superstar older players and gone for it......but my mid trainees while getting much better are far far from superstars ;)

In fact I still maintain that my mids are probably div 2 standard at the moment, not sure how I won the league even ;)
