I don't think that's necessarily a badly trained example. He was probably badly distributed to begin with. At 20yo, he still has some hope to a pace/tech trainer no?

Nothing wrong with his training. Came out with [10] passing already, looks like the owner only trained his defender which was the correct choice.

That defending is useless without tech and that passing is useless without PM. I wouldn't even take him on a free transfer looking like that.

Well he was simply not a great training material for a player, doesn't change the fact that his only potential for being useful was a defender, and you start making a defender with pace & def training, so I really don't see a problem here. Without def training and with tech instead he would be useless for anything at all. At 20 he is still able to get decent enough in pace, def & side skills, so what's the issue here?
