Asunto: Challenge Shanks

I'm losing my love for the game but i'm not quitting. Looking for a challenge and posting here for inspiration!

Quite a few people have sold their team and trained pace on 16yo's, or only allowed players from their own nation, but i'm looking for something different.

Being able to compete is of the least importance, but i still want to set a team etc. Perhaps a challenge that will still potentially allow me to make money in a few seasons and build up a competitive team again if i feel like it.

Help me :)

I challenge you to create a new tactic ;-)

Stupid name challenge? Build up a team with players with funny names etc? Or a real life team team (saw that done on HT once where someone built a team with only Fulham players in it).

You could always attempt to beat my record for longest time in the prem ;)

Oh man. I find that tactic editor tiresome. To be honest it is fiddly where you have to click on such a small area to move the players about it puts me off. That's my excuse anyway!

I would have to live until 103 to do that.

I like the name challenge. I recently searched for players with a surname of poo to see if it was to get a team "full of ****".

The issue is you can't search by name on the transfer list (in fact the Search function for name appears to be broken right now) so that would become laborious finding the players i think.

Maybe you could buy players with surnames who all begin with the letters SH.
Then you could say, "my team is full of sh***" ;-)

Or better, buy off a full U21 or NT squad (that is a true challenge)...after you have at least 5 starting players run for that country's election! I would start you off with England U21...if you sell your players you could get at least 8 from our starting lineup :)...or you can try even smaller teams!

Gotta be youth players only from your school~?

Pick a country with very few users (low national team) and buy young players from that country and train them up to boost their NT level. Maybe a nation like Jamaica for example. You will help them and also maybe train players faster because they are more likely to play internationals games. If you feel there won't be enough players available pick more than one country but with the parameter of less that 15 users.

The biggest problem you have with a really small nation is that you're unlikely ever to come across their youth players on the transfer market ...

Name challenges (mr_gibbage/tcd_uk) - put off by effort to search for players using Search function.

Buy an NT (Qstarw/Wayner) - difficulty with money there, but i have considered doing it a really small nation. It would be hard, but at least i could search by nation on the transfer list. there would always be a home user that wouldn't sell their prized player though.

Youth players from own school only (evertonian) - did anybody do this in England? I have a feeling the legendary Kipper88 did this, or did eirikr manage this for a while? I have to say, this is the one that is most appealing, because it puts my youth school to be the most important thing, and it's what (used to) give me the biggest buzz. And it helps my U21 NT...

Trouble is a 'keeper. I might train it for a season or two, then never again :/

Set yourself the challenge to get back to the prem and beat mcoi with a Banstead goal, sell up the team and log in every two weeks just to wind him up

Woppa did said junior school only idea (although he techincally cheated as he had 1 purchased striker). Most people have only done part squads.

Forestman did a team British thing some time back, although he gave up on that eventually.

PS your competitive record against me is pretty poor. P10 W1 D1 L8 for you!

Yeah I had an all British team for quite a few seasons...as a challenge, It was pretty much all english, with. Some decent scots and one Welshman from memory. However i had to pay over the odds for English players and it began my downfall from the prem.

The problem with something like that is having time to be patient to find good players on the transfer list....I would have to wait aaaages to fill players....
