That's a shame. I mean he'll be great eventually but it's difficult for the U21s, though central midfielders don't need as much pace as everyone else.

what cm's don't need pace, what are all these new things coming along?

so a user with a divine pace cm is the same as one with 12 pace, 100% noway I say

It's the one area of the pitch where pace isn't essential. I mean, you still need some, Weak definitely isn't good enough, but it's not like defenders, strikers or wingers where being without it means you're effectively useless.

That is logic but 5 pace difference you'd walk through them and you do, so it does make a difference

maybe 15 to 17 ok
or 13 to 15
but 13 playing a 16 or 17 pace big difference

In any other area of the pitch it's deadly. Strikers will get caught, wingers can't beat the defenders and defenders who get outpaced will kill you. In midfield though you're slightly insulated from that because the player is surrounded, so if your mid gets outpaced there's always a defence behind them. Would you rather have Pace? Absolutely, but it's possible to get away with it to a certain point.
