I have. One second
I've got Barnes down as a winger currently but there's plenty of time for that to change. He's ranked 2nd
And Preece is also down as a winger. Ranked 3rd for his age behind Van Nistelrooy and Tony Mazur
The data is a bit untidy at the moment because Thursday is always the day I start work on adding the new players and I'm halfway through it.

I'm quite fond of wingers with striking. Because of their high pace and tech, they're excellent at breaking the defensive line against teams that push up.

Cool, thanks, I will train mostly pace for Barnes wack a PM in there

Of the 4 wing skills, PM is probably the least important. If you think of them in a logical order
You need to get to the ball first (Pace)
Then you need to control it, beat the defender and get in position to cross (Tech)
You need to decide what you're doing (PM)
Then execute the cross (Passing)
While Playmaking does come in before Passing there's usually only 1 or 2 players to cross to, which is why I'd always choose Passing over PM.

Pfft.
I don't look at the £2 now, I look at the 5%s down the line.

pm is not about choosing which player to pass to, it's much more important than that, honestly I think it's the most undervalued skill in the game by users
it's about how fast the player makes decision [top pm can make the pass instantly, for example after throw in], if he makes the optimal decision [he might as well pass backwards instead of crossing], what level of pass he will be able to do regularly [top level wingers can make a cross even close to half-way line etc.], higher pm gives also a higher chance for a good through ball and so on
having said that, a good winger needs all of those skills at high level + defender as a bonus (I did play at World Cup with [9] defender though, not a big issue)
