Barnes SP's: 36
McManaman SP's: 27

That's 3 levels of junior difference. Barnes is more an incredible junior, and McManaman a very good. The coaches just got the prediction all wrong.

Barnes 36
McManaman 27

Yep on the face it that's nonsense. But I think someone told me that higher skills cost more points, so Macs striking probably hurts the rest of him.

Barnes was the jackpot for the level and I guess McManaman was the opposite. There may have been very little between the pull levels and potentially there are lots of his skills in one and low levels in Barnes? Either way Barnes is great and McManaman is a bad pull. Id definitely take Barnes off your hands though ;)

Ok Jimmy, cheers

McManman popped twice in 2 weeks at the end , so in my mind he was a Very Good, Didn't know they can mess up final skill if they were playing.

Wdp, Yup McA wouldn't ever catch Barnes, who wouldn't want Barnesy

2 new juniors today a poor 16 yr ol with 6 weeks and a weak 17 yr old with 8 week....both useless and sacked on the spot. I hate buy youth school so much I am now starting to think about dumping it as I reach my 6th season without a decent junior to train. I have wasted over £2m now in those 6 seasons.......it's starting to become irritating and I stopped playing for years and continued the youth scholarship only to try and produce good English youths.

My dwad, you can't have everything, how dare you!

and if you do all those top juniors will then go to me or someone else , what's 2 mill for you? 1 of my 6 juniors would get that
2025-02-15 10:47:06
LOL you get this juniors anyway, over the last 6 season of me getting precisely nothing you have pulled gem after gem :)

I can the logic in saying "I'd rather buy exactly what I want than play an expensive lottery" but I'm not sure it financially makes sense considering the cost of buying quality trainees.

36,000 a week for youth coach, 468000 a season
18,000 a week for youth spaces, 234,000 a season
Total cost 702000 maximum

You can barely buy 1 good trainee for that.

I agree which is why I have carried on so far, but to get to 6 seasons is now getting a little beyond a joke. ;)

I have now paid money to buy trainees and may do so again today to get a trio of 18 yr olds....none of my own, all English and all bought for money.

Didn't you just sell a trainee for 1.7m Igor King?

wdp74 para Camus
You're right I did but he was certainly not a great trainee and I believe I sold well and fortunately there. I would far prefer to have trainee that I can really get my teeth into if that makes sense and get excited about.

I think you need to realign what is a good youth now to what was a good youth before. Your youth squad isn't anywhere near as bad as you make it out to be.
2025-02-15 14:09:23
Its because stamina eats more of skills distribution per level... how insane it Even sounds
2025-02-15 19:07:51
It is so there :p
2025-02-15 19:44:18
1.5m sale says otherwise :P Plus U21 caps for them also say otherwise.
2025-02-15 21:12:32
Of my current trainees the youngest from my school is 23. The sale was 1.5m but I don't believe he's any good and I sold at the right time......plus got lucky with a bidding war.
