150k so isn’t to much to get better coach than just two skills, assistants and players with potential

I've just looked on the coach market because I was looking to upgrade an assistant to Outstanding/Incredible.

There's 1 coach at that level. For the entire game.
2025-02-26 12:30:47
I've not once ever bought a coach. Always played the lottery on them.
2025-02-26 12:38:10
I don't like spending money with no guarantee I'll get what I want.
It's maybe doable with assistants and junior coaches because you don't need them to be specific, but you'll likely still get screwed on wages.
As for head coaches? Nope. I keep reading horror stories about people spending £1.5m and still getting nothing. I'm not betting my clubs future on a lottery.

These are exceptions to the rule.

Fair few people have got the coach they want or close to it, with smaller spends than that.

I just tested it out and got a perfect example of how broken it is.
The request was for 6 x Magical, minimum Keeping and Stamina.

I got this guy.

Absolutely no resemblance to what I requested. Complete waste of money.

Just because it works out for some people doesn't make it a good system. Now the alternative is broken, getting a head coach worth anything is out of most clubs hands.

You Are looking far too dark at recruitment tool. Its easy to get what you want, and with current price on market youll save a bundle. And if if is just for junior or assistant its really, really easy to get what you want.

Also one attempt for what you were looking for is No comparision to how the tool works, you need multiple attempts to do any analyse.

As I've said juniors and assistants are easy but you'll get screwed on wages.

Head coaches though? No, absolutely not. There is no "easy" in a lottery, there is only luck and that's not a good system when there's no alternative.

I saw him. Let's put aside his age for a moment.

Outstanding Pace = Trainee Death

Id take My chances any day in a recruitment lottery that presents me a price after it ends thats 300-1000% better then transfer list.

Its not really a lottery when the chances of success Are as high as they are. You havent tried it enough.

I switched my coaches many times, one thing is to upgrade, but also as I beside the age update also had some breaks where I fired all my coaches to save funds while being away.

And My last two points in this debate. If you have trouble finding the exact perfect head coach, work it out by having a junior/assistant coach that has high skills where your head coach doesnt. And dont think much about 2-5k eu difference in wage, if you stare blind at wage youll end up using more then youll Eventually will save.

That's actually what I've done, my junior coach is my backup because I saw this problem coming and recruited before retirements started.

The thing is, it's not about me. I now have the money to go out and buy a coach if I have to. (Though looking right now, there are literally 4 Magical available and they're all useless).
What are newer clubs meant to do though? Spend £300k on a lottery and hope they get someone they can use who won't wage bankrupt them? That is a stupid system to build an essential part of the game on.

It’s almost 36 hours to the end of bidding and cos half of milion. For me impossible money at this moment and for all of new members. People need like 2-3 seasons to have money like this to spent for a coach from transfer list, and I guess it’s bigger chance to get it from lottery, Half milion (I’m expecting around milion when closer to the end) it’s around 30 tries on recruitment form

500k cost. 30k wages for Tech Death and useless Keeper training. No one in their right mind should be bidding on him unless they have money to waste.
