Unlucky Forestman….
So it Legia vs Thamesmead again in the final. My match was decidedly uncomfortable for the first 45 minutes as I struggled to make the breakthrough. Ended up winning 4-0 but made hard work of it.

I had forgone training the previous week but decided that even my first team wasn’t strong enough so took the training instead. Fans should have been more annoyed really haha
Been so long since I got to the semis of the cup (forest reserves in 2016…) forgot there was a prize.
Mind you prize of £45k seems fairly pointless as I earned far more from the match attendance!

That’s the beauty of the cup, if you get decent crowds and the training is good.
My semi unfortunately was in a 12000 stadium. :(

Weird to think there is a 12k stadium in the prem. That's a major loss of revenue.

he doesn't care, his wages are mostly made up by the state pension from the government :)))
No stadium, no trainable players and (I'm guessing) no coaches. No expenses. Isn't this game great? Especially you have some mates willing to play transfers for big money with you ;)

Imagine if we all do the same. There'll be no England U21, that's for sure. Probably no England NT either.
I don't agree with this way of playing the game and I really believe the game itself should not agree being played this way. It gives nothing back. I really don't see what the plan is and I must admit that whatever the plan is, I wish it fails.

It's a plan will get you to the top league fast, but long term won't win trophies.

Yeah agree in general old team isn't a long term strategy but can get teams up the performance curve and fanclub memperys and promotion quickly. I chose that route (with keeper training) originally after failing at the opposite - a whole team being trained pace to try to spot talented players...almost bancrupted my new team. This gave me a cost efficient mechanism for a new team to have performance - a few trainees required, small squad and live off ancient free transfers, decent enough tactics and build stadium etc.
Challenge is now that my team is at the transition point, as in reality the team is much weaker in value than it looks in numbers. *IF* I threw every penny at 39/40 yo's sold all my trainees, maybe I'd get to the prem. But wouldn't win anything...
