I never message anyone about teams played......I just risked playing my weaker trainees and always do until I feel I can't. I can see from the next round thats not possible.

If you were in BRs position you'd prioritise the cup over the league. An awful first half of season so far.

I think Barnes is going into the U-21's tonight. He won't be playing yet but he's not that far off. Sheaf was almost in the squad for the game against Mexico and only missed out because of stamina.

I would expect 3 fairly quick pops from Barnes soon. I would love to get him to 3 x Formidable before the end of the season.

I don't think playing the A team would've made a difference. I genuinely think that the game engine would've tweaked it for the same outcome. Last night it made Barnes a hell of a striker and my superdivine gk dropping the ball in front of him. Defenders making silly mistakes and strikers hitting the post. I could clearly see how the game was taking a turn towards the end when I was ahead. Midfielders having a sudden moment of indecision, strikers passing the ball backward and defenders not being able to tackle anymore.
Plus, the so called reserves team of Thamesmead included 6 players that played in the Champions final.
I don't trust the game engine.

Well thats correct 6 did play, I did say it was a mixture of trainees and first team. I'd like to think your players felt the pressure near the end. ;)

Honestly this the first game Ive seen Barnes play well, and Benson who is supposedly better was bloody awful in defence. Thats the 2nd game your keeper has had a mare vs me....maybe it's just your keeper? For example Luca is worse than Serrano but somehow makes more saves? Serrano has a value of over 3m now.

I see your point but try to see mine about the game engine. I could easily argue I was the best team last night and should've won. Yet, somehow, towards the end of the game, wdp's striker started slaloming between my defenders like they weren't there. And my midfielders looked like Barkley and his mates in Space Jam. Something would've happened, like in the last league game, a red card or a blindfolded gk.

And that was the other gk I have, superdivine too, magical pace. This is again, another argument to what I'm saying about the game engine. Which is frustrating for someone who believes in tactics and all that. It's simply pointless.

I think some of this goes back to what I've asked before.

Does the match engine generate the result on the loading screen and the match just works towards an already determined end point?

or

Does the match engine just generate the stats and tactics and the game is rendered in real time?

If it's the first, JE has got a point and this game has a problem.
