Asunto: Training the right way
It's more interesting than coasting at the top. If you sit at a certain point for a long time it just stagnates things.

You can't just keep using that as an excuse to paper over the cracks though.
Your squad is the strongest in England. It has about the same amount of English players in it as I did with Mcoi. The premiership this season is probably the biggest chance you have ever had to win it but has already been squandered.
The thing that has, and always has pulled you down is average tactics. It's fine most of the time or when you can just batter opposition by having better players but as I've said in the past, as soon as you come up against semi organised opposition you then tend to lose. You won't lose all the time as there is always a chance in any game but you stack the odds against yourself.

Its not , I will carry on trying to win by handicapping myself, its easy to just try win every game buying best the players.
Concentrate on yourself
its not strongest in England i play teenagers!
IF I PLAYED MY STRONGEST TEAM EVERY MATCH YOU COULD SAY THAT BUT I ONLY HAVE DONE THAT LAST 2 CUP GAMES.

It is the strongest squad. Not playing your best players every game does not mean it is not.
Show me one that is stronger?
I only have 2 game seasons at the moment, so I have plenty of time.

Ok, and all I'm saying is I havn't played my strongest team much, I start my strongest team, I nearly won the cup then would you be saying this?
It's like you want me to do better and ditch the English youth just to see if I'm good enough, there's quite a few of us good enough, and my team has only just become the strongest, & all my 26 yo's will be sold soon and Reakes is on borrowed time, I don't know if you've noticed but i only 1 play 1 x 27yo and some 26yo's it's a balance and I want to train youth so if i chuck the cup in i have to give them 30mins.
Anyway this is my team and I love this game.

this is like fergie and wenger......
there isnt really a best practice to how you train, its what you train and who.
the length of time you both have spent on this game is incredible , and would expect to have seen some lots of awesome squads get older and be sold... i have MLT who is 22 and i hope to watch him grow and progress in this game :)

i do disagree about the strongest team situation...
i could sell my younger players and buy older ones to be one of the strongest but wheres the fun in that?
you both know about building and training and Aluminium made a massive sacrifice to have what he has now, would be easy to have sold and spend....rather than scratch...

also to try and build a lot of our younger players isnt an easy task, it takes time, patience and throwing a few games to train, giving advice to others to help improve.....
fergie and wenger , respect :)
good luck guys

That depends. Winning games can be quite addictive :-) However, simply having the strongest team doesn't guarantee anything. For example, I didn't have the strongest team for the first few times I won the Premier league. Tactics (and a bit/lot of luck) often nullify that difference.
And on the counter argument, I can assure you that I'm not getting a lot of enjoyment or fun out of my current situation of training younger players ;-)

Yes, also I've beaten untold teams with better marks [stronger teams] every season, I was shocked at loosing v Bramford double gutted because I broguht him back when he lost his team.

What you have done though is far too extreme even for me! more like what Jimmy Doughnut [done] and Eirkr do

There must have been circa 40m in the bank after all the players had been sold. There was some very good players in that team, starting from scratch I felt was the only way to get interest back.
