Asunto: WC

These pitchforks are going to go rusty if not careful!

Azerbaijan next. Difficult to say if that's a good draw or not after they beat Italy 5-1.

They are ranked 19th (we are 28th) and have a very good coach.
But, any team at this stage (the last 16) are going to have something about them.
We need to prepare properly and hopefully that will see us through.

Our WC is over at the last 16 stage. We lost 3-1 to Azerbaijan :-(
I've enjoyed my time in the hot seat but ultimately I failed.
I won't stand next season giving somebody else a chance to bring us glory.

I now need to concentrate on the up and coming Euro U27 Championship.
Gives me a chance to give some of our younger players a run out.

Tbh, I'd like to but like I said previously I ultimately failed, other English managers want to do it and they may well do better than me so worth giving them a try imo. I can always re-apply if nobody steps forward but there's no guarantee the English community as a whole would want me back anyway.

You have done a good job to get that far given our ranking and user base now........stand and see if someone else applies. We might get an uber weak manager apply against you......mentioning no names....lol
