Asunto: NT U21. Thanks to "B. Robson"

Sorry but I'm very displeased, since I've been playing NT sokker I've never seen such a disrespectful and lazy international coach.

Mr "Bryan Robson" — the real Robson doesn't deserve this :-) — doesn't even know how to keep a game schedule. A basis of respect between coaches.

I had to remind this coach to write down the date several times.

I'm now having to look for a last-minute friendly game if I can. Despite that, I'm happy to avoid this friendly and your national coach: he would have been unable to put U-20 players on the field as planned. IMO England doesn't deserve such a coach.

Ok....my thoughts are that it is totally unnecessary to post a whole topic for this. Maybe you should have contacted each other last week as a reminder? The manager works hard on his role and always contacts people over players etc and gets no help.

I never ever schedule friendlies if someone asks me for one i say you better remind me or i won't remember.... i waited till well into saturday noone said anything i thought can't have been this week, in the sceme of things does it really matter?

plus i am ill may have covid 19

best way to sort this out if anyone asks me for a friendly i will say NO!

I have had people saying u20 to me and they played 21yo's and beat me that's happened a few times, that is something much more to moan about, did i go to there forum's ? nope

First of all, is it my responsibility to notify an appointment? I'm not Mr. Roby's secretary. The vast majority of coaches stick to a schedule for the sole reason that it's complicated to manage a season and a friendly at the last minute.

Then I didn't have time to contact him. On Saturday he had already taken a friendly. I guess Mr. Robson didn't have time to wonder if he hadn't, by chance, another friendly scheduled.

The manager works hard on his role and always contacts people over players etc and gets no help.


What about me? Im manger too, do I have to waste time? That's why managers spend their time planning friendlies at the beginning of the season, and note, and respect a planning : avoid wasting time afterwards!

My view is that the national team is about the community, including his own. It deserves a forum.
Publicly I'll have to explain in french forum and Nt staff why we won't play England as planned. Not your problem, i know.
Finally, contacting the coach directly in private was of no interest given the value of his previous words. Now He had to explain himself clearly for his community who voted for him.

Finally, I mean... it's just a game. And even if "Roby" has made me the game unpleasant , I wish him good luck and fun with sokker.

He did say to remind him. And you didn't say you wouldn't. If you didn't want his secretary role you had multiple messages to tell him this. By not saying no, you clearly accepted the role. Probably time to give up the NT job so you can take it on full time.

A relic of the past, or something along those lines.

Everything is clear in this sentence about mentality and consideration for others .

First, that's not true ("i'll make a note of it, just good to have back up").
Second, everything seems to be normal and respectful to consider others as secretaries, by default.
Third, as is said i don't even time to notify (one more time) something since "Roby" take a friendly quickly on Saturday, so not even we need to be a secretary, but also a reactive s one :-)

EVERYTHING IS NORMAL. Fine.

But I hope that in this crumbling community (England was a top sokker nation) there are still English players that remain silent who don't find it normal, especially those who had the experience of managing a national team.

I waste too much time here. But I'm glad I was able to express myself. Thank you.

When you have been an NT manager for 100 years like Mr Rob, you are bound to forget stuff.
