Asunto: Finances...

A couple of quick questions to help refresh my memory..

So...my player, coach and youth team costs of ~£38k per week are exceeding my sponsors income each week. Considering how low my attendances are this is worrying - at current rates I will be in the red during this season which will accelerate the decline...

Now, I'm gaining fans every week, which as a percentage of the base is quite an increase - however my sponsor income isn't changing much - is it linked to fanclub or just league level & mood? i.e. will my sponsor income grow with fans or just the game attendance.

Reason is that if I can trust my income will grow, I can stick with my setup, but if not I will need to either trim down my players, reduce assistant coaches or get rid of my junior school and coach - and instead pick up £1 players on transfer market.

I am rather player heavy atm...as I plan to use pace training to figure out the talent of trainees and then train the talent - plus the headache that I wasted quite a lot of money trying to get a decent but cheap coach. However I am really questioning short term value of junior school as the coach plus school is costing me £10k+ per week... but having juniors helps England...if I ever get any good uns...

I think that Sponsorship is linked to Mood....but I cannot really remember very well. Your crowds should increase quickly given you will gain fans quickly and also I am sure be top of the league in no time. ;)

Sounds like you need to trim the budgets. It's certainly unaffordable to have coaches that good early doors. I slowly built up my coaches to where they are now.

I've been getting £72k a week sponsorship at maximum mood but mood went down to delighted (5) and it changed to £65k so definitely affected.

The sponsors paid into club`s account a total of 210 114 £.

It is Very important to have a good level within the fanclub members.

My sponsorship hasn't increased so must be much more linked to league level & form than fan club size. Also, despite fans still being madly in love I've had a significant slowdown in new fans joining.

I've therefore had to bite the bullet and kill my junior squad. It was costing me nearly £20k per week including coach and I need to reduce my significant losses to have any chance of being able to strengthen the financial status of the team.

Will get one in the future to help England when my team have more financial stremgth.

That’s a real shame

I started mine with a cheaper coach and kept numbers down early doors. Think it was around 10-15 juniors with a 3-4k wage coach.

Update; I’ve killed my junior school and reduced cost of coaches and am now generating a decent profit per fortnight.

Also amusingly after nearly a full season of training, the players that I bought for £1 don’t even sell so have been sacking them...so need to rethink training strategy too…as don’t get near to covering the wage costs….crazy….

The best profits I managed to make were players 37500-100k value range.

Bah - a player I had been tracking for 2 days and was willing to pay £25k for has just gone for £10k cos my daughter distracted me right at the death and then I’ve accidentally bid £5k for a player that is bobbins and Imight have to sack.. not good when I’m counting the pennies here as a newbie…

If it is any consolation, a player I bought for 198k will be getting listed soon. Think he will sell for a bit more than the purchase price.
