So....lets go again!!!
- What are your aims for the seasons?
- Where do you expect to get in the cup?
- What position do you think you will finish in the league?
- Any players or other things you want to discuss?
and for me....
- What are your aims for the seasons?
I am setting myself a range of targets that get progressively trickier;
1) Keep interested and logging in
2) Book more friendies than last year
3) Get my team supporters up to 750 fans
4) Stadium >7500 capacity for next season
5) Don't go bankrupt
6) Win the league
7) Win 2 cup games
8) Sell a player for £10k.
- Where do you expect to get in the cup?
Not seen the fixtures yet, but probably dumped out in round 1....could do with some money from a couple of games tho....
- What position do you think you will finish in the league?
I think that I will finish 2nd. I almost certainly will finish 2nd. I want to finish 1st and lose 7-0 in a playoff. I will come 2nd though.
- Any players or other things you want to discuss?
I spent the whole of my first season failing to make any traction with training etc. Had 23 players nearly all 17-19 but got nowhere near making any money on any - admittedly only 1 season but found that I could pick up just as good players 1 season later and 1 year older also for £1 often.... Therefore I'm going back to Forest Reserves tried and tested strategy of striker training and running a smaller squad and signing up some journeymen 30year olds who have been warned I'll sack em if they cost me too much...

- What are your aims for the seasons?
To get promoted back to II at first attempt. Really thought was going to end this run of yoyoing between II and III but it was not to be. Need to improve the squad balance by offloading at least 1 of the front line to improve things at the back.
- Where do you expect to get in the cup?
It would be nice to progress beyond R2 and maybe upset a higher ranked side. Something which could be doable if I can shift 1st team into the cup.
- What position do you think you will finish in the league?
1st. Any lower would be a disappointment.
- Any players or other things you want to discuss?
Season is going to cost me over £1m in lost sponsor money and attendance. The stadium size increase will have to wait as may need a small bank balance in hand to cover negative costs from the two weekly finances.

Oof that’s a lot of lost money…we’re you running big profits last season or do you have to do some trimming?
I’m looking forward to the seasonal lump sum money…not really sure how much I’ll get but hopefully to keep the wolves from the door…

Was running a healthy profit. Sponsor money is going to go from the current 130k to probably about 65k. That will take me to a two week loss unless the stadium fills, which it won't when you are playing lowly bots. Filled it a lot in II. Didn't even have an awful season as the fan mood stayed above satisfied the whole time. Wage bill is more now than last time I was in III.
What are your aims for the seasons?
Ideally to win my division and improve my squad.
- Where do you expect to get in the cup?
1st round
- What position do you think you will finish in the league?
1st or 2nd

My first season so just looking to build a sound financial base and try to improve the team. I'm in a similar position to Forestman in that I'm returning to SK after a long absence. I was around from about season 14 to around season 30 (can't remember exactly but I called myself ted thomas back then) as Woking Nomads and then Heath End Cardinals, so I'm starting to make sense of things and remember the game slowly. Looking forward to the changes planned although I must admit it's hard to get my head around exactly what is changing and when. I've started to trawl through the forums but it's slow going.
Anyway, it's good to see a few familiar teams and managers are still about.

Just seen my cup draw. Team had players with value more than £500k…,That’s me out in the first round….
Thanks Forestman, good to be back.
I live in Farnham now although I still get back to Woking to watch the mighty Cardinals, or at least I did before Covid.

Won the first league game of the season against last season’s league winners..
:O
Still don’t believe I can win the league but an ace start to the season :)

Congratulations, I won 6-0 away to Herbs. An unlikely start to the season tbh. I feel they may have had reserves playing. Makes amends for me playing a full reserve team against him last season.

Lost 3-0. Gave it a go but needed a lot of luck to get anything.
Still building and should be competitive in another season or so. Positive now that the first game is over is if the league winners get automatic promotion it might be possible to get out of this league next season without having to buy a squad of 30 year olds XD

I'm still annoyed about being back in III to begin with!
14th highest marks in England from that game. There's going be a bit of squad adjustment soon just waiting on a striker pop before doing so.

Look at the postives: a whole season to train young players. On some miserable pitches LOL. Speaking about pitches, I just returned from kowal with 3 points, 37% weak pitch condition.
