How about trying this?

Your only allowed to buy/train young talent from:

Home countries - Scotland, England, Wales, Ireland
Sovereign state which has Elizabeth II as its monarch - Austrialia, New Zealand, Canada & South Africa
Any U21 team user is managing
6 from your starting 11 is the least exceptable

This way you feel more attachment to the player and mostly don't help teams off simular ranking or better ranking

I have enough trouble trying to buy players now, this would be like chopping my hands and feet off and trying to push a wheelbarrow up a hill!

The problem is always availability. That is two ways availability too. One being that you have to be available to bid until the end (often a "big bid" will be outbid by one more). And lack of players of right type on the market.

Could make things a lot more challenging......

Years ago my team forest reserves only had British players. It was good challenge but clearly didn’t help my team in the league..as it could be a challenge at times on transfer market or trying to source a trainee..

Pointless trying, I just never see British players good enough to buy, if I do they are so valuable too. My best hope is a junior from my school….and that’s not much hope.

The gooduns get into your first team , you'll have 1 or 2 from your youth school, others could get 25 mins 1st team, if we exclude the goal keeper , it can be done, i almost had it there bar 1 main striker keeper and 2 x cb's and the other 6 were all England players! we could say 6 of your first team and any subs?

I tried so hard to just have English trainees, and at one stage I had a majority that were….after I replaced them it was impossible to replace them. There just aren’t enough decent English trainees around atm. Hopefully that’ll change but it’s unlikely unless the game grows.

I do get there feeling that there is a fair chunk of sides in England not even with a junior school.

Juniors are generally not that profitable other than the top end of players so production isn't really encouraged because they are generally few and far between.

The system isn’t great regarding youths and never has been, the good ones are too few and far between

i generally want to train English players and the best if they are from my junior school. Obviously, if i have more space then i can train others but that is not important for me.

I'm curious on the price on English trainees now, i would have presumed the value would have increased for national team quality trainees, because of the lack of users? I guess also the lack of users means less chance of having anything of any quality...

I also did a while of having just my own trainees to keep me interested, but it didn't last too long. One of the biggest downers for me was when they changed talent to be estimated (i appreciate you can narrow it down, particularly with the best coaches).

Once i get my youth school established, i intend on just going for a squad of home grown talent again to be honest, but i'll be hanging much lower key this time around. Not bothered about tactics or winnings games...some would argue i never did! ;)

I have my best set in my school that I can remember numbers wise…..fingers are crossed. I should get at least 1 good player come out!
