I would certainly hope to win the next 2 and then the last 2 which are hugely difficult won't matter. My GD is also very big compared to the other teams....and only Legia can catch me really in all reality.

I don't reserve a single player for special treatment, they all get massages and cotton wool this season ;)

Ah balls. I’ve just seen that I am seeded 16th and last of all the teams top of III.

This means that I will have a near impossible game against the best 5th place team in al 4 II leagues. Currently that means beating a team formed in 2008.

So a near dead cert of losing that - then I would have to somehow manage the miracle of beating Aubergine FC next season (who have spent ~£14m on players from memory over the past couple of months) home and away to secure a decent playoff.

So essentially despite currently winning the league I know that I’m going to be stuck in III for at least another 2 seasons.

Yet if I had thrown the game against Aubergine they would have won every game this season and their GD would have been good enough potentially for auto promotion and deffo for an easier playoff. So I have essentially shot the medium term future of my team in the foot by winning. (As it is far less financially beneficial in II and I’m already at fan cap +2 this week despite MIL)

I’m pretty gutted at the moment tbh. A right kick in the balls.

A lot can and will change in the last weekend of all the leagues. You’d likely go up the standings in my opinion due to most 1 and 2 teams facing each other.

You never know you could still get an easier II opponent, or get lucky in the game. Either that or you call time on some of your oldies and rebuild those areas?

I was under the impression that the leagues are restructuring next season. Do we know how the 12 team league’s in England will be structured and how promotion and relegation will work at the end of this season?
As far as I can see, tier 2 in England could be anywhere between 24 teams(2:1 league structure) to 48 teams (4:1) so there could be up to 60 teams in the top 2 tiers.

Unless I have missed the boat, it seems really vague as to what the rules are for next season…all they are saying is “do your best”. I believe we’d be better off with a structure with more promotion and relegation but deeper league system - ie more levels. More teams per league would definitely help that.

If I am going to definitely be down for a few seasons I may do..depends on what I do about Christian beckham - assuming he has future England capability I don’t want to harm him. He’s already “only” being coached by a magical coach tbh as I had to adjust my wage bill and sack the unearthly one..don’t want to compromise him further..

I'm in 3 for 1 more ... that may change depending on trainees...

I only have 2 players worth anything much…disadvantage of keeper training I guess…

Haha I am low on funds this season. I will at some stage make some sales though and my balance will improve. I do need to replace some older players though.

I will decide after this season finishes and once I know what's what. ;)
