Asunto: Friend is now a bot in playoff match !

Hiya , ive known herbman (pete) since i was 6 years old and he introduced me to sokker. we have played for many many many years etc.however he has suddenly left the game and become a bot. i dont know if this is temporary as we dont speak any more irl. with the premiership expanding to 12 am i going up anyway for winning my division , if i beat pete will his team be relegated , what if hes ill and its temporary , id hate for him to come back and not be in the premiership still where he belongs. can i lose on purpose in fairness and still go up as div 2 winner??? its very confusing morally , mathmatically and generally. sorry for the enormous question but u see my dilemma. please let me know before the match takes place......many many thx.....please forward this to ADMIN cheers.....cya

Ordinarily you would have to won to go up if its a play off match.

Its quite sad that he is now a BOT, are you able to speak in real life still?

It's just a game, you're not stealing his bread. He would surely make his way back to Premier if he wants to come back.
In the end, it's your choice. And ONLY yours, it seems. But surely he'd be happy to see a friend (out of all) taking his place in the Premier.

He’s not logged on for ages - he got a far longer period not being converted to bot than it used to be - I think he stopped logging in last summer. And as such like many of us that did the and suffered the same fate. He has gone bot. You should try to beat him as it would definitely damage your team morale and his team morale will be awfulanyhow…

I think anyhow if you read the news announcement on league “bot” teams will automatically be put to the bottom of the league ranking pile, but if he does return to the game they will give him his team back and assuming money still in the bank he’ll rise pretty quick…or he can do what people like myself, doughnut jimmy etc are doing and try to claw our way up from the bottom with new teams :)

RULES OF ASSIGNMENT TO NEW LEAGUES:
1. We play play-offs, promotions and relegations, as usual, at the end of the season.
2. We keep the score (points, goals) with which a given team was relegated or promoted.
3. We delete teams without players (e.g. in PL there are nearly 400 teams).
4. We sort the teams according to the collective tables of a given level of the game, assuming that:
- First, we sort the teams that fell from a higher league level (direct relegations from higher leagues, and play-off losers from higher leagues)
- Then the teams that stayed at the given level (losers in play-off for higher level, winners in play-off for current level, and safe places 2-4)
- At the end, we sort the teams that have advanced to a given level (direct promotions from lower leagues, and play-off winners from lower leagues)
5. We remove all bot teams from the rankings. We adopt one rule: no login in the last 50 days. These teams will not be completely removed and if the owner returns someday, he will be able to resume the game with his own team, with his own resources, but from the lowest league level.
6. The tables created in this way will be the basis for assignment to new leagues.

Which by the way I *wish* I could have rejoined with my own team and resources when I came back after a few years….so they are treating these old bot players differently and much better than they used to.

Brilliant thx all....ive been avoiding the Premier league every season , maybe ill try ? maybe not......but thanks very much its made me at least have a choice. i just didnt want to take his place if he was only absent say thru illness etc. My morale doesnt exist as i sold all my players and tanked lol , only to find out i may be promoted to the very division ive been avoiding , now i have all youngsters that wouldnt win div 2....all the fun of the fair.....love the game....cya

ps....my team couldnt beat the bots he left in , they are way higher rated than me now , ive dropped from a 62 to a 47 after sales....!!!

Still can't believe Herbs won the double season before last as a bot!

crazy really. But he left a very strong squad and tactics in default.
