i dont think it is.............. going by my study the past few weeks..........
A player who played in the same position (ie, as a def) twice during the week will train better than one who played in only one game. Similarly, a player who played in an official match will train better than one who just played in a friendly. If a player played in two different positions during the week, the last match counts. The benefit of playing a player with the same match order twice is small - they will receive near full training by playing 1 match. If they play only in an international, they will receive around 50% of the normal training. Players do not receive training in extra time as they are too tired.
I personally believe this has changed..... they will receive near full training by playing 1 match I believe this is less as more games and less weeks....
My opinion only :P

If you've not bought 3 teams, there is no point now seeing as it will be 10 player training pretty soon.

I don't give skills out anymore, i'm like gibbage now, I did until this season no point i do not want them playing any nt matches because of injuires and currently train defense on mid orders [changes next season I know] so utterley pointless
If they are England U21 potential then and only then I would because I'd need them getting more minutes but I'd rather they only played 45 mins max.
If they sort somthing out for NT and injuires I would then change back to giving skills unless the team was playing England

I do give skills out if asked now. Have always done on English players (unless someone asks who isn't elected in of course).
You might not have any choice soon, it looks like things are leaning towards NT players skills being seen.

There needs to be some benefit for older players for it to be worthwhile. As things stand, other than prestige there is no tangiable gain from having older players in NT.

Mad I was just about to post something of this nature in develpoers forum but thought I'd do it here first
Now the season is shorter [12 weeks] +1 week 0? before it was 15 weeks + week 0? should the ageing process be slightly better for example a 30yo would not drop any skills [unless did not play] a 31yo would only drop in pace, something like that, what do you think?

I always send updates for all my players……I had 1 horror injury in an NT match a few seasons ago of about 34 days….on his first cap too! Other than that nothing serious…..
