Wow all 3 Prem teams lost their play offs! That has hugely surprised me.

what a silly format 6 going down out of 12 teams.

going down finishing 7th from 12 is a good format? nope not at all
going down finishing 8th is a good format? = getting a bit better
going down finishing 9th and in a playoff being the strongest team in playoff = much better
going down finshing 10th in a playoff
11th relegated
12th relegated

at most there should be 4 teams relegated , 3 is really the norm

5 or 6 should never have a chance of happening in my book

the excitement of playoffs ;)

i remember a few seasons back where David took on Goliath and caused one of the biggest ever(lucky) upsets in sokker history causing Goliath to fall

Back in the day when your team was semi decent?

semi decent?

this game would have been in black and white then ;)

what a silly format 6 going down out of 12 teams.

Hopefully a bit more churn will create more excitement and fewer teams in no man’s land. Plus for teams trying to get promoted in old system was so tough…come 2nd by GD to an ultra strong team meant another season in
III….so I’m willing to see how it settles longer term - i.e we we will need a few more seasons to see.

New format creates min of 25% relegated and then next 25% in playoff. All 3 II leagues had none of their playoff teams get relegated so just 25% relegated so might have been fluke or maybe shows gap between lower prem and upper II is narrower than lower II and upper III??

Maybe playoffs should be home and away to avoid massive luck-outs but I guess if a team is deffo good enough to stay up they’ll bounce back :)
