I don't think the tactic I used gave our guys a chance to perform.... so my apologies for that.. :(

This weekend is a powder keg of a match and massive for both...I'm looking forward to many pops for our U21s to strengthen the squad.

I haven’t watched but the defence was very deep, is that fairly negative at u21 level? Not criticising as haven’t watched it but wondered if it’s a new fad within the game.

It's not unusual. It can be very effective in the right situation but I'm not a huge fan because you're giving up territory, and against teams with good crossers it can be suicidal.

In my opinion the deep defence was one of the main reasons why we couldn’t create many chances today.

How many of that team do we get to keep for next season?
Unfortunately it's the nature of the U-21s that you can put together a high rating team and then next season they'll all be gone.

There's a good few coming through so hopefully everyone keeps up the brilliant work ;)

Just sad its with a Beckham and scholes on midfield
