Asunto: Season 62 Alledgedly

An important draw tonight. Was not expecting to get a point from the game. Lots of sides jumped over us still so need to be good on the last few games of the season.

I wonder what happened to Fenland. Could it be the lack of maturity? I think he played two players just under 30. Big mistake! You can't win with kids.

Al, the question is: this is it? 3rd place is your (late) Wenger's success? Do you think you're gonna do more? Look at the table (for the last 4 seasons), look at the goalscorers this season. You're happy mate? It's a joke, first 6 top goalscorers are from the top 2 teams. Thames' average score this season is 7-0. Legia's is 5-1. I could find League III groups more poised than the Premier.

I'm asking because my last two seasons (before this one) I wasn't happy. I was nowhere near challenging. And, bear in mind, I managed to actually win against the big 2 (even 3 when BR was in it). But it was obvious I am wasting my time, the gap was getting bigger and my players were getting older. And I am asking you because you are the only one left to challenge. At least you threat to. Please, tell me you have a plan to keep up with your threats.

I don't expect to overtake both of them overnight but to slowly work at it. The gap isn't widening between me and them it is closing (there has been a general progress points and goals wise within my team every season, the mid season wobble caused by extensive injuries this season has dampened it somewhat but definitely been further progress this season).

The methods I use have worked well in the past - maybe times have moved on. However, I think given I've got to the top 3 in a relatively short period of time must be doing at least something right.

I thought my general progress was right, I was winning against the big guns and all that. But then I realised it wasn't all as forward as I thought. Hence, I am trying again. I have nothing but praise for the top two, they've been as well through their own self-searching journeys and they're proactive. They deserve to be where they are and I think the Premier deserves to be where they took it. But I felt I was not really doing my bit, was not pushing enough to match them. And if I don't set my goal to be up there, I don't see the point. Most chances are that I'm not going to see my goal being achieved but the beauty of playing this game is to at least try. And I wish more teams in the English leagues think the same. It seems to me we're in a stale situation right now. BR is back next season and hopefully he will spice up the league a bit more. And maybe, the season after I will come back for some more 'progress'.

£344k splashed out failing to improve my coaches at all…so frustrating this new system in trying to train keepers, defenders, mids and strikers all at once…. That’s about £600k I have spent trying to get a coach with unearthly keeper, pace, defending and striker skills…. and any others unearthly a bonus. Grrrr

I actually stopped playing virtually after my 1st title win. At the time life was hectic and I just ticked over with the youth school only giving away 5-0 for a long long time.
