Asunto: Season 66

I currently live in Hemel Hempstead near Watford, but I used to live in London before. At the start, I wasn't a fan of Manchester United, although I enjoyed the times when Alex Ferguson managed them. I'm a fan of Liverpool. I even visited Liverpool for a weekend once because I was considering moving there. It left a positive impression on me.

I am biased because I support Liverpool. But there's a huge difference between Liverpool and United right now. Klopp picked Liverpool because the community spirit and he managed to multiply it by 100. Anfield area has transformed. Another mate of mine is an Everton fan and lives in Liverpool, and even he says that the way Klopp went about his business makes even Everton fans being proud that Liverpool FC is a club of their city. Especially now, that their club is an a bit of a disarray. Just for the record, LFC fans and Everton fans are not your typical football rivalry crap. It's a lot of banter but nothing more. Exceptions apply, as usual.
Ferguson created a community spirit too back in his time. United didn't capitalise on it. They thought that if they focus on marketing (especially in Asia) is going to be enough. A while ago, there was this guy on the radio talking about football marketing in Asia. United is the weakest right now out of the big clubs in Premier League, Liverpool is top, Spurs (Son effect) and City follow and even Wolverhampton was ahead of them.

Let's hope he is.

Pray that he goes to Borussia Dortmund.

I live in Southend, when i started supporting Man Utd age 6, to me they were a bit further than Southend high street, that season they came 14th, the team most people supported down here is Liverpool because they all just want to support the best, i to me was supporting an underdog, I once aged 10 saw West ham vs spurs and declared myself a west ham fan but my old girl wouldn't have me supporting a team who's fans were partly the ICF

I've seen Man Utd at Highbury, I had a few friends who are Arsenal season ticket holders, them West ham and Spurs have most fans here now
saw Arsenal vs Everton 5-0 at emirates. I've only been to a handful of games

Arsenal x 2
West Ham x 2 Upton Park

I am a Liverpool fan because they beat Juve when I was about 6. I grew up in an anti-Juve part of the world and that night was for the first time I enjoyed football. I was only a kid and that night I thought Liverpool is what brings joy to everyone lol. My grandad was a Lazio fan and he took me for the first time to a live game on Olimpico di Roma. Again, I was a kid and again, I joined in with everyone's joy and became a Lazio fan instantly.
Growing uo, I learned more about Liverpool and I realised it is indeed a club that I can identify with. I couldn't say the same about Lazio but I had no way out, my whole family is supporting them. But again, Lazio started changing (or me?) and now I am to say they are my club. Both clubs have been through a lot (I guess all clubs have, apart from Real Madrid lol) and had to scrub hard to get to where they are. Hard work, humility and community made them successful. I also support Atletico Madrid in Spain, for the same reasons.
Just like you, I was the outsider supporting Lazio. Most of my mates and the people where I lived supported Napoli. As for Liverpool, I wasn't just the outsider, I was the strange one haha.
But I will always remember how my knees went soft when I first stood outside the Anfield gate. I still get that when I go to Anfield. Not that I can afford to go to often. But that's another conversation.

In Poland, we have perhaps the only derby in the world where both opposing teams from Poznań don't fight each other. Moreover, during the derbies between Lech and Warta, there are no buffer zones, and fans sit together!

Jurgen Klopp is an incredible coach and person. In Poland, everyone still remembers him from his time at Borussia Dortmund. Back then, three Polish players, Lewandowski, Błaszczykowski, and Piszczek, were instrumental in that team. The guys still talk about having contact with the coach to this day.

I did 9 games of West Ham this season, including the one against Wolves

Leaving table & results aside, it's in my top 3 of teams wasting their potential. Terrible team to watch in most games, the first half against Wolves was horrendous. I think it would do a world of good if Moyes left the team this summer and Steidten was allowed to bring in who he wants (as Moyes was apparently trying to block his out of England signings for whole summer). Of course it's important to make a right choice about the next coach and you can go wrong but still... you have to take risks in order to improve.

Even in the 2nd half vs Wolves you could see the potential they have when they start attacking (because they had to). Kudus and Paqueta are ballers that could easily fit into a top 4 side.

Although I think that you guys still lack mostly in 2 positions - a dynamic LW (I don't like Paqueta being wasted there, it doesn't suit him nor the team with him cutting inside all the time) and a real classic 9 (I know Bowen scores like a madman this season, he's far more useful as a right winger in my opinion and due to his physicality limits the team too much). Antonio is obviously past his years of regular first team player.

I'd go for a 4-3-3 with Paqueta as a do-what-you-want offensive 8, like he played at Lyon, this role seems to suit him most, especially since his defensive contribution improved a lot in last years. Kudus, Bowen & new guy to rotate as wingers.

Inter Row Z - RTS Widzew Łódź 2:4.

It's the fifth game without defeat. I'm surprised by these good results:)

I have a friend that is talking in the same way "you need to play Trent as a midfielder". No, he's not blind, he knows I'm not Klopp.
Wdp is not in charge of West Ham, he's just a fan. David Moyes is the manager. Unless wdp is actually David Moyes, I doubt wdp lacks mostly in 2 positions (might be true if we talk about Sokker).
And I personally doubt I would be better than Moyes at managing a Premier League team. I might see a couple things that don't match with MY vision of tactics but it doesn't mean that now I can make his 11 just because a few times I "did" his games from my garage.

I wrote "you guys" as in "West Ham" since he identifies with them. I have no idea how that would suggest that he's in charge of West Ham, but it's not the first time I see you having linguistic problems with your mother tongue.

What is more, not in one paragraph have I said that it would be better to manage x or y than Moyes does. If you actually bothered to read with comprehension you'd see that I mentioned setting results and table aside. All I wrote is that IN MY OPINION West Ham as a team needs strengthening in two areas (and I believe Moyes underlined exactly the same needs for his team around December) and that they are a terrible team to watch (which is an opinion and not even a controversial one).

Btw. approaching football with the idea that "the manager always knows best" is very stupid. Times change, football changes, otherwise you'd still have Mourinho at the top teams. Managers make mistakes, managers can't keep up with the changes. Do you know more about football than Gerrard? No, you don't. Doesn't change the fact that he was terrible at Villa and they improved vastly after brining Emery. According to your theory one could not criticise Gerrard, since he's a top ex player with some managerial experience. Yet it was easy to see that he was doing a terrible job and it was proven by the manager who followed him.

Anyway, I have no idea why I'm even writing all this to you, since you're obviously a typical toxic, frustrated troll. Total waste of time talking to the likes of you.

p.s. I'm leaving the "garage" tomorrow, going to Milan-Roma at San Siro.

My mother says "ciao e vaffanculo" if you want to bring her into the conversation. But then again, she is the woman that gave birth to a "toxic, butt-hurt, frustrated troll", my advice is to better ignore her and not talk about her. If Gerrard is not as knowledgeable about football as you are, she definitely isn't.

And you're right, times are changing. I would've never thought that one day I will be harassed and openely insulted by someone on a virtual football platform. Just as I never thought that metal health issue is ignored in Poland just as much as it is here in UK. I do hope this improves soon, otherwise you or someone else could end up in serious trouble. Anger is usually a sign of frustration. Best is to look at things that need changing in your life and act sooner rather than later. Far-right groups are targeting people that are weak due to frustration caused by an unfulfilled personal goals. And judging by the language you use in your messages, I'd say you're just the right person for them.

PS: Is San Siro your mate's garage?

Confusing "mother tongue" with your actual mother is far too stupid for me to handle, sorry, that was as far as I could read. Utterly sad, please stop writing to me, I will just ignore you from now on. I hate toxic people like you, no need for more of that vile gibberish from you and your kind. Bye.

Look for some self-respect in that garage of yours. Surely there's at least a skid mark of it.

Bowen is very underrated imo and a lot of non-West Ham fans felt he was mot for England in the last game.
