Asunto: The Tactics League Game (Season 67)

I'm going to be making a ratings adjustment for any team that's significantly lowering their match ratings with late subs. It's just a matter of finding the time to get the formula right.

Blimey, the adjustment relegated Legia a bit

I won't make the adjustments because with my system, the result is a bigger factor than the rating difference. Plus I take into account the home/away factor and the number of goals (>3 or >5). So, the subs brought in late in order to lower the ratings have a small effect on the overall score.

There's no home advantage in this game, other than being able to set the stadium dimensions according to your players.

I am pretty sure that somewhere in the engine of the game there is a slight home advantage. But even what you mentioned, although not much, it makes a difference.

One thing I should add to the way the score is calculated should be the number of shots. I think the chances created are relevant. And sometimes, the score is not always a true reflection of the shots.

If the adjustment is easy to do then its a good one imo yes, I will fall foul of this later in the season as once I am out of the cup my trainees will have to get top up league minutes ;)

It's easy but time consuming and it's not something I particularly want to be doing for multiple clubs. I'll be keeping an eye on if if there's an easier way.

I'm not aware of anyone that changes pitch size to give them advantage. It's a bit like player height/weight but even smaller of an influence than that has.

I'm happy to be proved wrong on home advantage, but I've no recollection of anything ever being officially stated on it.

I added the shots factor. 0.1 points for every shot.

2.01 (574 total): Anfield 80, Polish Boston 67, Crows 66 ...... Warta 22.
2.02: (459 total, mind the walk-overs*): Corvin 64, Dunarea 54, Elmstead 52 ..... Colchester 10, Polska* 0.
2.03 (730): Szolosgyorok 105, Aubergine 103, Northern Thistle 91 ..... Maidenhead 23, Bull&Tower 12.

The efficiency of these shots is a different matter, check it before you celebrate.
