Asunto: Scouting

Sidwell goes for 3.5mil and Pritchards XI will suddenly be a threat next season.

So on the basis of 28-man squads (2 Keepers, 10 Defenders, 10 Midfielders, 6 Strikers), these are what we're looking at for the next 3 seasons. These are still largely based on match ratings, so it's certainly changeable, but ideally we need to be training these guys. I'm concerned by Defence and Midfield, we don't have a lot of strength in depth.
If they're gold, they're already in the U-21's

I'd suggest also concentrating on 16-18yos if the point is to maximise the available potential

The 20-21s are already being trained properly if they are at good enough level to be noticed

Yep I have the whole range of players from 16-24, I just didn't go younger because there's not enough of them at the moment.

I like my nation..... when I try to scout for senior I just watch the 14-15 schools every single player.... its the same schools for more or less 10-20 seasons then also check old u21 team... when scouting for u21 just check the schools... do this 1-2 times a month... I also tried scouting programs but for small nations manual labour is good to improve effeciency.... but yeah, you Guys have to rely on scout programs... also, reveal of skills is massive change.... I tried Max 4 players hinden since it was introduced


One thing you could also improve in your national team is the coordination of which skills to train....so many end up as mediocre mids, but most or at least relative big part could have been world class def .. simply go the database through and tell the top 20-40 Mids they have better nt chances as def, but you need to get them young... many Are already too late as def with sideskills age 21-23

Coordination of training is tricky and I think a step too far. All we can do is try to guide and educate. The reality is most players will end up outside of England, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Great players will typically end up at the bigger clubs. It's the high talent/low level players I'm concerned about because they can slip under the radar.

Yes but its exactly the medium talents who dont go to top clubs who often Are mistrained/couldve been better as defs while the top mids must be trained as mid.

Call it coordination/guiding/advice... could just be a simple letter to the manager: your player is outside top 15 mids his age, but he Will have great chances long term as def for England nt cause of his sideskills as def trainee

Yep that's kind of what I'm trying to build with the U-20 to U-18 squad lists. "These are our Top 28 and future internationals", so we try to keep them here, we track them, if they go on sale we buy them.

I was talking to Piotr about one of our prospects earlier and why he wasn't in the U-21 squad when he had similar ratings and value. Bloody adequate tech.
