And how would/does that work??
2024-10-10 17:31:27
This game doesn't calculate results... we play different formations and tactics which can change results and outcomes... if you know otherwise please share :)

Camus para Camus
I'll try to explain, because it's complicated.

Team A is getting ratings of 50. They play consistently with 11 players and no subs.
Team B is getting ratings of 50. They play 89 minutes with a team rating 60 and then artificially drop it with subs.

There are problems/questions here.

1. Is the game engine treating these 2 teams as being the same? The game is known to have "underdog rules" and if the team rating 60 is playing with underdog rules, that's a big problem in terms of fairness.
2. If the game is generating the match at the start, which rating is it looking at? If the result is predetermined by stats, that's also a big problem.

And so why does that affect any of us playing the game as we want to?

Underdog rules?

You are stretching into the regime i call the Mafia ;)

The match engine is still greg's and I doubt he would have put anything like that into it.

The game ultimately is a complex series of coin tosses anyway.

If you agree then please get behind me :P

1 rule for 1 yes??

I can't explain it much clearer than I have. And yes, there are parts of the code designed to favour underdogs so they don't get routinely slaughtered. The 2 I know of give them a higher probability of scoring and reduce the number they concede. That's why you might only score 8 from 40 shots against a new user and they'll get 1 from 1. I think it happened last night with Blitzkreig.

In my experience my squad...tactic and skill is what helps me go forward in this game...
I believe form is the biggest skill to help towards how we perform...
It's not a skill before you all cry out but it is very important.
There are also lots of other things like tech, passing , playmaker and the rest we need to look at and work on.
It is a game and gives us all the opportunity to build on all of these....like in real life the sides we all love and support can lose games....go into administration bla de bla de bla etc

Explain clearer :)

I am not having a go at you because the work you put into our nation, our leagues and my U21s is 2nd to none...
You are always positive and pushing our game forward so thank you.. ;)

A lot depends on what order everything is being generated in.

If the "loading screen" at the start of each match is just generating players and conditions and then the engine takes over, there's no problem.

If it's generating everything, and the match you're watching is pre-determined by players, conditions, match ratings, stats etc, that could be an issue because the match ratings are, essentially, wrong.
2024-10-10 18:14:09
I haven't experienced that.... :(

Camus para Camus
I have concerns that it's the 2nd option because at times this game looks like it's causality is reversed. The result is decided before it begins and what you see is just the game moving towards that. I could cite the England U-21's against Suomi, where it seemed we were destined to lose no matter what, even giving a Magical striker an open goal and watching him miss.
My example though is my game against St Paulie. It was very obvious right from the start I was losing that game, everyone was playing terrible and looked out of position and my keeper was playing like an amputee. Sure enough I get a red card in 15 minutes, but because I had the better team, I still came from behind twice to lead. And then I lose the game righ at the end. If you've played this game long enough you can see these kind of games coming because things always look "off".

Tactics and skills......and form
