Asunto: Season 68

You keep saying broke but still keep spending big. You must run a healthy surplus each season though.

After spending the 2.5m on the 17 tr old I had £300,000 in my account. This was the lowest balance I have had for as long as I can remember, I then had 2 big crowds in CFA Cup away and a home league match which has brought my balance up to just under £1m again. I do run a surplus but the game changes has made this less than it was 2 seasons ago and by quite a lot, don't forget my wage bill is big compared to others I would guess? Also look at my spending, I hadn't bought anyone for a long time before the 17 yr old and I paid more than I wanted to there, forced by Nothis and Logged out but I really wanted a young English trainee which my youth school is failing badly to give me anything.....(5 seasons now). Feemster came this season but in all honesty does not look good enough unfortunately.

WDP, I took a quick look at your squad, and honestly, you have no reason to worry. You’ve got a few good, relatively young players that you’re training. I’d keep a couple of those over 30, buy some younger players to train, and you should comfortably stay in the league mid-table.

Here we go again!
Im a new leaderboard, next sunday playing against a currently vice-lider and i can start keep everything in my hand (still have match with Polska Walczaca who bought looks like nice talents in the last round). I got some extra money after sell my goalkeeper so just chillin'.

Higher level you are more picky have to be. I'm sure even when your prem winning run stops you will have enough in tank to remain top 3 as long as you want to.

I still think getting quality through the juniors setup is very rare. I can't think where these awesome players I encounter all come from, to be honest. It's not like I haven't tried. I have a great defender who is now 30, but I can't see many of the kids coming through looking like they could ever play in the Premiership.
As far as money is concerned, I have an operating surplus, excluding transfers, of 126k so far this season, which is better than being in League II but ain't exactly riches.,
Not that buying players always helps; I can't score goals right now - one in five matches - and in the middle of this naff run I bought another striker, who was injured after 42 minutes, and is missing 5 matches. My top midfielder is still out, too. He will miss 8 matches. So, relegation beckons again.

That is my plan, I do want to make the average age younger in my older players too if possible. I will be happy to start the cycle again and not be as successful for a while, I believe that you will have domination for a while certainly given your squad age, quality and bank balance. I had thought that Man Utd would but they seem to have fallen away despite buying older players which has surprised me.

It depends what I want to buy graineee wise tbh, my new 17 yr old had more pops than the rest of my squad in total....that is something I have missed recently. I do feel I will struggle in the cup a lot more than I have been, and certainly tomorrow I have the hardest semi-final I could have got given we are both clear in 1 and 2 in the league respectively.

You are still in with a shout of staying up, we have another 10 matches left and you have plenty of points to play for :)

I think it's safe to say that WHU fans are in the "be careful what you wish for" state right now, Turns out that Moyes was not the worst that could happen.

On the other hand, I'm happy to see Nuno Espirito giving the Wolves the same buyer's remorse vibes. I thought he did an amazing job at Wolves (tactically and strategically) and he was harshly judged before being kicked out.

Actually you’re wrong, Moyes got 19 points from 19 in the 2nd half of last season. We haven’t chosen the correct manager imo however to replace him.

Yup, you’ve chosen more of the same. Weird decision from the start.

Most people expected to change Moyes for someone more offensively minded, instead they’ve got the Spanish version :)

I agree for what it’s worth. Moyes was not the answer though, let’s wait until he finally gets another job.

Let's all switch to Channel4 instead. Don't forget to sing the anthem :))))

But yeah, those scousers not respecting the royals ;/

Spoiler: the royals are greedily sucking dry everything from us, including the NHS.

The thing is Lopetegui is actually a very good manager, but he's also a dick. He's the Spanish Conte. It never goes well when you replace a popular manager with an arsehole.

He needs time but we are not playing with any cohesion or intensity or confidence atm.
