Asunto: Season 68

2024-11-11 21:25:40
Searching by name, it looks like Shakespeare had at least 12 transfers with Fenland, while Swamp Monsters had 9 with Fenland and 16 with Shakespeare.

I'm writing "at least" because they often changed names of their/his clubs so I probably missed at least a couple.

I hear that but if you've already established with the admins that you're sharing devices, unless you've specifically been told not to trade between each other, this strikes me as an admin not knowing this was already dealt with. If they're banning people for 10 year old offences that's just incredibly stupid.
2024-11-11 21:44:20
As I say it’s a lot….too many.
2024-11-11 22:01:17
You wouldn't need to be specifically told. It's stated in the rules:

- to transfer any player between the teams that use the same IPs or that log from the same computer

That's pretty clear cut.
2024-11-11 22:02:46
In fact, it's not stated once but twice:

IN ALL CASES, even with registration and permission to share a computer or IP, ANY TRANSFERS between users who have EVER shared an IP is illegal.
2024-11-11 22:03:37
In a nutshell, if you know someone, and there's any possibility of logging in on the same device, DO NOT TRANSFER PLAYERS!
2024-11-11 22:34:12
This strikes me as stupidity on all sides, and I'm including the admins for letting it go for 12 years. If you're not going to enforce the rules, you give the impression that they don't apply. It really depends on what they were told when they spoke to the admins. If the advice was "Don't trade between each other" then fair enough, you get what you deserve. If the response was just "Ok noted" then that's another matter, because they've let it go.

It's not like there's any obvious cheating or boosting going on here. There should have been a warning or a fine.

Having said all this, it really depends on when they were sharing an IP. We assume it's been all along but it could have been a few weeks for all we know.

And can I just point out, every one of these is from Swamp to Shakespeare. All Swamp has done is put his players up for sale, he can't control who buys them.

This is b******t

Ah except for that top 1. That may be a problem

Unless there's a reason to look, not every transfer gets monitored so it would be easy for these to fly under the radar. None of them are vast sums of money, a lot are minimum bid so barely be noticed.

They have had shared IP for a very long time. I used to be an Admin before I quit for a while and they were investigated quite a number of years ago now. Having seen your list of transfers on top of the transfers I’d seen that were older there really is no excuse.

Swamp, Fenland and Shakespeare all bought and sold. They all shared IP and they all knew the rules. There really is no excuse. For what it’s worth I absolutely fought for him until I saw the sheer number of transfers.
2024-11-11 23:24:38
The transfers were low value but instead of £1 it was £11 or £1001 etc.

Camus para wdp74
So having been investigated then, why ban them now? You can't just suddenly decide to enforce the rules when you've knowingly let them go for 12 years. It's literally 12 years of saying "Yeah you're fine"

I don’t remember when they were investigated but I’m sure the transfers happened since then. Previously from my limited memory it was just stated IP addresses.

Camus para wdp74
There's no cheating here, no price boosting, no-one has gained an advantage and the admins have knowingly let it go for 12 years. A ban here is excessive.
