Asunto: Season 68

2024-12-05 09:50:54
I have zero chance in a play-off. I went balls to the wall in my final game, needing a 5 goal swing against top of the league to auto-promote.

I even bought 2 new old strikers and made my first tactic in over 3 years, but my opponent also bought 2 new strikers at the last minute and i lost 2-3!

The issue seems to be performing in Division 2, even if you win the play-off. Same for Avon. I noticed you're training very well. Take your time in Division 3 and build a 52+ average mark team without having to buy legionnaires.

Their best player is suspended, 3rd yellow.
Also, they play a default 442 tactic.

Yep and I don't trust this game.

Oh, come on, you're panicking now haha.

Did you enjoy the gift from Kelleher?
2024-12-05 11:31:15
It was the least we should have gotten. You were lucky to get away with a point.
2024-12-05 11:48:48
If only your team would play with the same intensity in all the games.

But, yeah, if I'd have a penny for all the times I've been told we were lucky...

Yes it's becoming noticable that we play against the big teams and don't show up against anyone else. Beat Spurs and Arsenal, drew against City and Liverpool but lose to Fulham, Brighton, West Ham, couldn't beat Everton.

Hence my statement the other day about your club and Villa. Don't forget, Liverpool has to maintain a high level twice a week. Last night they, some of the players looked really tired. And still managed to almost win the game, if Kelleher caught that ball.

Hey!!!!! We won for the 1st time in 8 games!!!! And deserved it
2024-12-05 13:06:22
I heard that losing in II all the time will still bring me in more £££? Thing is i need to sell my post trainee age players to survive with my expensive coaching set up.
2024-12-05 13:17:45
I believe I went from winning in 3 and getting 40k sponsor money to losing in 2 and getting 70+. Plus ticket sales, so yeah it's generally a good idea to go up.

Camus para Camus
Average ratings of the 9 Level 3 champions (and where they're going)

56.4 Oakley Mugs (Division III.01 ==> Division II.01)
42.6 Avon Gunners (Division III.02 ==> Division II.01)
45.1 Wooden Spoon Warriors (Division III.06 ==> Division II.01)

51.6 FC Moroos (Division III.09 ==> Division II.02)
34.5 Maidenhead United (Division III.03 ==> Division II.02)
25.1 Newport County FC (Division III.05 ==> Division II.02)

42.8 FC Colchester (Division III.07 ==> Division II.03)
48.4 F.C Warta Zawiercie (Division III.08 ==> Division II.03)
48.8 Kingsway Crystals (Division III.04 ==> Division II.03)

If any of you want to stay up, you need to be hitting 50 and not using default tactics. You have 17 days to get it sorted.

Sod it, might as well do the playoff teams too.

That too but mostly (if only the financial side is the motivation) sorting out the stadium capacity. Armitage's is 8000. Not good enough, if you ask me.
Same for:
Moroos is 7900
Avon's 3100
Maidenhead's 12900
Newport's 3100

Needs to be something like:
Oakley's 24500
Colchester's 25200
Warta's 28000
Kingsway's 24500
Wooden's 30100

Talking about finances, Brighton and Abacus are going bankrupt. Brighton's arena is 7000 capacity, Abacus is 3600. I'm shocked about Abacus, they have been in Division 2 for quite a few times. They should've had money to invest in a bigger arena and (probably) avoid bankruptcy.

I'm almost tempted to help some of them out but it would be unfair to pick and choose. Ultimately the guides exist and help is there if they want it.

I haven't checked the stadiums but there are some clubs in 3 who are not poor by any stretch. They could quite easily get up and stay up if they were motivated to do so. Pritchards XI (or Harry Lall) sold a youth for nearly 4m only a couple of months ago, I don't think they're even in a playoff spot. With the teams going down, it may be that they've missed their chance too.
