So I was looking through the transfer market last night and I run into this guy

and the question I ask myself is, how the hell do you train him? I think this is actually an interesting question to ask everyone, to see how people view training and what they prioritise. So here's the game
You can give him 14 training points and he'll have just turned 22 when you're finished. So where are you putting those points? What player are you turning him into?
I was going to give options and turn this into a poll but actually I think it's more interesting to see what you all come up with.
Oh and ignore Stamina

Yep, it's a fair question. Stick him in goal ;)
Possibly striker, training in both pace and striker, as there seems to be a shortage of English strikers.
Q. Will he be worth much when you've finished and he is 22...and will all effort reap the beat financial rewards?
I don't necesarilly know the answer, however I suspect not!
Decisions, decisions. Sounds like you have yourself a little conundrum there!

I'm not asking for myself, I know what I'd do and I'm about to show you. I'm interested in what everyone else would do with him.
I wanted the opinion of others first but I'll get this started.
Pace +4 to Formidable
Technique +5 to Excellent
Passing to Average
Keeping to Hopeless
Defending +5 to Formidable
Playmaking to Solid
Striking to Good
Pace and tech have to be sorted right away, that's not really negotiable wherever you play him. Then I've 5 points to play with.
I look at him and I don't think that's enough to turn him into a midfielder because he doesn't have the defending or passing. Wingers don't need defending though. 5 points to Passing brings him to Excellent, that's not too bad.
You could turn him into an Oustanding striker, that's not a bad option either.
As you can see though I've gone the defender route.

With this age and sumskill the only option is a defender, training only pace & def for a long time

I'd probably go with the striker route, rather than defender purely as I believe there are less English strikers around. Not sure if he'd be worth more money, if you're considering the profit aspect as a priority!

Personally, I wouldn't buy him because on paper he doesn't look good enough to both get into the U21 and also return a good enough profit when I'd decide to sell him (most likely 22-23yos).
But don't forget I'm concentrating on developing youngsters at this stage of my SK life. That is why I wouldn't buy him. However, if you planned to keep him for longer term, then I'd train him striker, pace and tech and hope to get him to a decent level where he'd help me win games. I can't see him getting into the national sides but I guess you'd only truly discover his talent once you start training him.
I don't imagine he wouldn't fetch a huge transfer fee/price, so regardless, you wouldn't have much to lose by buying him! :)
