So nearly all my coaches are retiring and after spending a million quid I have got this chap.

Am I correct that he can only be a head coach of the main or junior team?

Marcus Gordon, age: 57
wage: 32 490 £
club: Padstow Rovers, country: England,
brilliant [14] coach

Training effectiveness as head coach:
weak [4] of stamina unearthly [16] of keeper
unearthly [16] of pace magical [15] of defender
unearthly [16] of technique unearthly [16] of playmaker
unearthly [16] of passing unearthly [16] of striker

I'd say he should only be a head coach. You don't want to be paying those wages for only a Brilliant youth coach

Deffo a head coach. Propped by some magical coaches on low wages. With those skills for the head coach, the assistants skills won't matter, only the overall. (hopefully, your players don't need stamina)

And if you're going to pay that much for Unearthly Keeper, you might as well use it and train 1 or 2.

I am training 2 keepers!

This reminded me that I needed to move on my retiring coach.

500k later, I've kept the wage bill similar to what it was but managed to upgrade a brilliant assistant to a magical (so now on 2 x magical 1 x brilliant). All coaches bar one now in their 40s.

Glad I helped, my fee is enough money to press the coach button another 20 times!

Got three more coaches to replace!

Ouch that’s painful. I am lucky that my oldest coach has decided to stay this season, I doubt he will next season as he’s in his 90’s.

Only just seen this, sorry to all i opened a new 1, anyway my take

I agree he's a head coach, personally I'd want a Unearthly [overall] coach for the juniors

So which one should be my head caoch?

Emile Ruddock, age: 53

club: Padstow Rovers, country: England,
brilliant [14] coach

Training effectiveness as head coach:
hopeless [1] of stamina unearthly [16] of keeper
unearthly [16] of pace unearthly [16] of defender
unearthly [16] of technique unearthly [16] of playmaker
brilliant [14] of passing unearthly [16] of striker

Or

Marcus Gordon, age: 58

brilliant [14] coach

Training effectiveness as head coach:
weak [4] of stamina unearthly [16] of keeper
unearthly [16] of pace magical [15] of defender
unearthly [16] of technique unearthly [16] of playmaker
unearthly [16] of passing unearthly [16] of striker

Gordon is better, if you are training keepers (and even if you are not).
2024-12-20 00:28:52
Hmmm yes and I have just read about wages being indicative of overall ability.

Definitely Gordon. The other one isn't worth keeping with those wages because you'd be massively overpaying for Brilliant Junior coach or assistant
